Am I overthinking or does my tutor like me?

First of all I admit that I sort of had a crush on him at the beginning (it was more like admiration)... but these following examples mostly happened during when I was no longer interested: One time he was trying to help me with manoeuvre something but accidentally held my hand.. he was like "oh.." and quickly withdrew it as if he just had an electric shock, and held that hand pausing for a while. (My friend said it was weird that he had such a big reaction since he was seen as quite emotionless) I just continued doing my thing, pretending nothing happened. The other time we met at the uni shop. After exchanging a few words we went separately to pick up our shoppings. Then he was queueing a few people before me at checkout. I was looking elsewhere while waiting, and when I saw him finished checking out through the corner of my eyes I turned round but unexpectedly encountered him standing there staring at me... When I was about to say "see you" to break that awkward moment he just turned around and left without saying anything... There have been many other times that I caught him staring at me (outside lecture times). And he smiles at me a lot more than he does to other students, i. e. once he jumped me when suddenly pushing a door open while I was on the other side; He looked a little jumped too, said 'sorry' and just looked down and smiled. He is considered as a very critical, serious and even distant tutor by most students, since he barely talks about anything else but work. (I think he is quite nervous and a bit shy with teenagers/young adults, which make up most of the students) But I have actually managed to form a closer relationship with him to occasionally have conversations about things outside study.

I am in my early 20s. He is married with a kid. So I did not use to care about what he thinks of me/expect anything even during the time when I had an affection for him. But because of those things, now I really want to find out.
