Do players ever care for one girl?

I know kind of stupid and difficult to answer question, but I'm really wondering.
So there's this guy I like who I think is a player as he flirts with girls and infers sex with them.
But with me he's different. He gets shy and nervous when we're alone. Once he blushed when I caught him staring at me. Also I can see it into his eyes that he cares about me.
So can a player truly care for one girl?

Most players stick to one girl after they've played the field. So he won't become a man until he's in his 40's. I hate to say it but he is probably playing you by changing who he is to fit the guy you want. That's what players do.

The guys should be able to give more insight into this. Also ignore Anonymous on the whole virgin bit.
