If a guy is teasing you, is it a good sign or a bad one?

For example, I'm texting a lot with this guy, and we are pretty close.
For example : we were talking about pizza, and I have it like once a week at least, so I was like "if I keep on eating it so much I won't fit in my clothes by the end of the month haha" and he replied :"yeah, the last time I saw you, you were already fatter then before, can't imagine how you're gonna look! Hahahaha"

he teases me like that a lot, even kinda in a slightly mean way. Is it a good or a bad sign? Is he teasing me because he doesn't like me? Help?

I forgot to meant to mention that I'm really skinny, so it was obvious that he was messing with me

That's a really hard one because it's almost like a dis at the same time like telling you you are already bigger than before is not a very nice thing. Like I get you're are messing around. Is there a better example than this? I would like to know more things you guys have said.

Well I'm really skinny, so that's why it's obvious he is joking. Well for example.. I cooked for him and he made a disgusted face and said "this tastes terrible" but then he laughed and said he was joking
