Why does he hug me from behind when we are walking?

I have a guy friend. And i like him and he knows it. He has been hugging me from behind while walking to our cars before we leave. And it doesn't matter whos around including his parents my parents or my friends. Why does he do this?

he might be trying to flirt with you. but I have guy friend who will hug me/ put his arm around me no matter who we are with and he 100% doesn't like me. so I guess it depends on the guy.
