How to keep a guy interested without sex?

If I want a guy to be interested in me, how can I do so without it having to be about sex or having to talk about it?

By being yourself, you are offering quite a lot more than the normal individual, which gives you an "edge" on the competition. There are a few other things that you can add to this to keep many different men interested; however, it ultimately matters as to what venue you are meeting men.

1) Stimulating conversation; commonly found in coffee shops - If you retain an expertise of information about any given topic, talk with your man about that (given he cares to listen). The more you talk, slowly open up your desires; however, never disclose everything at one time. This brings his interest in (to know more) but keeps him at a distance (because you are not predictable- or "Revealing" of all your secrets/life desires)

2) Have fun and be a mature kid - Go to the river and swim with him. Pull him under the water but quickly push away when he goes under. Swim away at a normal pace, fast enough for him to play "cat and mouse" physically. This gives you both some excitement in your lives by allowing "new" and flirtatious actions to come about in your relationship.

3) Be flirtatious and friendly in a bedroom WITHOUT leading to sex. Flirt with him constantly but only "give in" on certain occasions (Flirt throughout the week, then "give in" on a certain day. A tease is someone that never does anything - don't do that. If you are already "sexually" active then this method will help reduce adding more frequent experiences to your relationship.

4) Smile - The single most attractive thing a woman can do; granted, she must brush her teeth and not have spiderwebs building up in there.

5) Built from #4 - use a bit of humor and sarcasm. Being too serious will make your relationships more difficult to endure. With a small hint of humor, you can keep love alive much longer.

6) ... And so on

There is an ever-growing contribution of ideas, most of which you could read about off of the internet. With knowledge comes experience, with experience comes life, and with life comes love. Learn what you want - and fight for having it.

I agree with what you are saying. It is just hard sometimes when guys initiate talking about sex too soon and though I don't want him to feel that I'm not interested in him or push him away, It's like I'm not that comfortable with taking it there and would like for him to get to know me on a personal level instead of some sexual object...but the things you said could work

=) Thank you. With people that say things like that "too soon" for your personal preference, don't be afraid to assert how you feel; however, do not "blame them" by using "You-Language"

Example of You-Language (BAD):

"When you talk about sex, I feel like you are only wanting that from me."

Good example:

"Honestly, I'm not ready to do anything like that; however, I may become ready in the future."

Be assertive and confident in your choice so that you "demand respect" =)

share your interests with him, and be open and learn his. like if he likes paint ball fights or whatever that is, you should plan a trip to a place where they have those, with him. and if you like ice skating, take him to the ice skating rink, he may think he doesn't like something, but if he tries it with you, it could make all the difference. doing new things together always keeps a relationship interesting.

I agree with this answer because it boils down to this: if he only wants sex to begin with then that's all he will stick around for so just be yourself after all if you don't then it's not really you that he is liking.If he doesn't like you for who you are then you shouldn't want him no way and also if he really likes you then there's nothing needed to be done to make him stay interested.

I agree with the OP but disagree with the "1rst Com." - Just because a man perceives that the relationship is "about sex" doesn't not gaurantee that he will only "stick around for sex". Additionally, if he already likes who you are- you will still need to apply effort. If the man is dating someone that isn't trying, he will constantly feel like you are providing an empty love to him versus a companionate love. This will push him away and make him feel unrespected.
