Why doesn't he accept my compliments?

It's a bit annoying but whenever I compliment my guy friend over something, he never accepts it. He says that either I am lying or he ignores them. Why? It can get a little annoying that he doesn't accept them.

Well, yes some guys can be like that. I also have a problem accepting compliments, I can never accept them, seems like your guy friend has the same problem. He couldn't be accepting them because he doesn't believe that you are being genuine while complimenting him, he thinks that a woman can't find anything good about him to compliment and so on.

Yes, I have my reasons for not believing in compliments. Yes, I am confident about myself, I do believe in myself but still I don't believe people when they compliment me:

1. Honestly speaking, when people compliment me I always think that they don't mean what they say although it may not be true.

2. I also get a little annoyed when people compliment me, I am still working on that reason to find out why, because I myself don't know.

3. Another reason why I don't believe in compliments is because I tend to think that people who compliment sometimes have double meaning to their words or have a hidden negative meaning somewhere. I don't know how to explain, exactly.

4. I don't believe in compliments because I myself don't compliment others, I mean I do but rarely so I have a tough time accepting compliments.

No, I am not unworthy, I know that. I know my worth, I know what I deserve , I believe in myself, I am confident in my own ways. I may or may not get what I deserve but I know my worth.
