My crush is in my group of friends. When were at an event together we flirt, laugh, have flowing conversation, he compliments me, seems to want to be around me for most of the night and playfully makes fun of me.

But he does something that really upsets me even though I don't show it. He will make comments about how hot other girls are in front of me. Eg if one walks past or someone he follow on Instagram.
He doesn't go from one girl to another but I feel like he has a wandering eye. 😢😢😢

I think you haven't quite understood male mentality yet. So here we go: believe it or not, men can separate love and sex (at least most of us can). It's two totally different issues for us. It also doesn't have to do with being single, which is why both of your answer-options are wrong. I have been in a long relationship and I still look after other girls and comment about hot girls to my girlfriend. It doesn't mean I don't love her and it also doesn't mean I don't find her hot and it also doesn't mean I want to make her jealous. It simply means I'm a guy. I have a dick and I want to use it. I'm biologically primed to have sex with any girl I can get hold of. I can escape this primal instinct just as little as women can escape the primal instinct to want children in their 30s. It's just something that comes to you. Also, I don't believe that sexual monogamy is the alpha and omega. I don't see a problem with being in a relationship and having sex with other people on the side and letting your partner do the same. So commenting about other girls doesn't mean ANYTHING about his relationship to you. He's just being a sex-hungry guy. He's probably not even realizing that he's making you jealous.

Hi... i was with a guy who always commented on other girls from strangers to famous people basically I began to think he thought almost every woman was attractive haha. In the end I just ignored it & we broke up but not over that but I did mention it was so annoying I mean "think" it don't "say" it but we were a couple in the end he admitted his insecurity with how he thought I felt about him so him commenting on others made him feel I'd feel insecure & jealous & that helped his ego but was doing it unintentionally and when I said it he felt stupid because I said it was a turn off haha ye aren't together but I'd say he likes u & is boosting his ego trying to get u to notice him more & get u to make a move ;-)

Too simplistic: it's not "liking" one girl that rules out interest in any others, it's actually being in a relationship with one. Up until that point, there could be lots I find attractive and wouldn't turn away if the opportunity came along. Once I'm actually "involved", it all changes.

I don't like BlueCoyote's promiscuous attitude - that's caveman stuff, as obsolete as chasing food down with a flint spear and eating it raw. Monogamy's an important part of a relationship to me, and goes deeper than just not physically sleeping around.

He might well be doing it in front of you to gauge your reaction and your interest in him: if you're comfortable with him expressing an interest in other women, he'll see that as a sign you're not interested in him yourself.

Just like to add to it all when im interested in a girl or with a girl I really have no eyes for anyone else nor need to look or be interested in looking and such. @JamesS1980 Promiscuity has nothing to do with being archaic ("cavemen-stuff"). Polygamy (and more rarely Polygyny) have been practiced all over the world in all times and ages. It's not just something animals or primitive cavemen do/did. I think most people (including you) do not realize that monogamy is an artificial thing. It's a religion-based and culturally developed tradition that we get socialized into when we grow up in a western country. But just because society tells us something is correct doesn't actually make it so. Personally, though I live monogamously and have had less sex partners than guys my age, strongly believe that promiscuity is just as a valid a lifestyle as living monogamously. I don't like people being so judgmental about things simply because they personally are not into something. Also, I should perhaps mention that there are thousands (maybe millions) of people all over America and Europe who have open relationships - yet healthy, lasting relationships.

I know it bothers you, but honestly all men will think the same when referencing girls. Personally, If I am with a girl I like, I make sure not to point out the "hot girls" or stare at other girls when I am with the girl I like. Some guys don't hide it, some do like me. You missed the most likely option, as a few girls here have suggested already: I think he's trying to find out how you feel about him, by seeing your reaction to this.

If you're just his friend, him admiring other girls is fine, so you wouldn't react. If you're interested in him as more than a friend, though, it would bother you. You've told US how you felt, but what impression do you think he got? (It's a mean thing to do if he suspects you are interested, so if it were me I'd stop as soon as I saw any sign of a reaction from you.)
