Why does he overreact so much?

If a guy and a girl are friends, there will be a time when one or two people might think that they are together. Such stupid illusions happen. I really don't think there is much to react about except to clarify that you both are not together and then carry on with your life. But my guy friend always overreacts and gets SUPER angry when someone links me up with him. He even gets angry with me and starts avoiding me. He even once said such bad things about me only to clarify his position that he doesn't like me. Why does he do that? I feel like he is not a good friend.

Yeah. It's just weird. Guys don't feel the so-called repulsion when they flirt with you, or treat you like an almost girlfriend, or talk to you a lot. But as soon as something stupid like that happens, they bolt to their feet.

He doesn't. He has rejected me like two years ago. I have moved on from that point though. But I seriously feel like he hates me. if someone linked me up with anyone, I would have just laughed it off because it ain't a big deal, but he always gets angry with ME.
