I asked him if he would come out with me tonight. Him being the guy I like. He said yes. Didn't text or call me like I told him to. Finally I get a message on Facebook saying "Sorry! I forgot we had plans. Work was a little late and we went out for a bite". I don't really know what to think.

He has asked me to hang out numerous times and I've always said yes so it's not like he doesn't want to hang out with me. FTW!

Okay fine. I am overreacting. But it is late and I'm just kind of annoyed because this is the first time I have ever actually tried initiating the first move so I feel double rejected. Thanks to everyone who answered though!

I know some guys who do this on purpose. Some guys are into the whole power-play game in the beginning, so it could also be like that... Don't know though. G'luck with that. That said, do you really want to give him the impression that you're the kind of girl it's ok to forget? Every situation's different, but I'd be careful at how you portray you self- respect and self-image. :) Hope you don't mind me saying that!

Haha a mutual friend of ours suggested the same. He doesn't seem the type but. . . I just told him it was okay, I was kidnapped by another male friend for a pub night so he doesn't think I was waiting around for him and that there is potentially another guy (there is but I'm not into him), But I woke up this morning p*ssed about it. It does sting especially when his other actions say he is very much into me. End rant. Haha sorry.

Maybe he feels that he's not getting anywhere with you, maybe you don't give signals that you like him as well as you thought you did. Guys really don't get hints. Maybe he really did forget. The only way to know for sure is to ask him how he feels about you. Hope this helps! ?

You should ask him where you stand. Hahaha that's the thing about woman, they want to know what's going on while men assume what's going on. You should ask him all this to his face--to find out wether you're wasting your time. No shame in that. That's what I did with pretty much all my crushes and it worked out splendid. Honesty will get you far.

He's forgotten once before. . . but I think that may have been because of someone I was hanging out with. I know he's kinda tried keeping some distance so maybe he's not totally sold that I've stopped hanging out with this person. Ugh.

I don't know. I don't understand how you can forget that you made plans with someone. I can only assume that is he not actually interested in me. He does forget some mundane things.

Sometimes "I forgot" means "I forgot", not "I think you're horrendously unattractive and am trying to duck out on you". If he really wanted to ditch you, he wouldn't have called you at all.
