Why do his friends stare at me but he doesn't anymore? I really just need advice. Please help?

This guy used to stare at me a lot and always walk by me and stuff. It went on for about a year. His friends would also stare at me like a lot! Well like these past like 2 weeks he hasn't been staring as much but when I pass by his friends they look at me and stay quiet. Then like his best friend will look at me with like a little smirk on his face. Then like later when i'm done passing by i'll like kinda look back and then they'll all be like laughing or joking about something and then look at me. Then my crush when he walks by me he gets this little smirk sometimes and then sometimes when he walks by he doesn't at all. I don't know but like he hasn't been staring a lot like he used too. Then yesterday i was walking to class and I saw him but he was waiting for his friend and i kept walking and like when he started walking with his friend he got like right in front of me like passed right by me in front of me to the point where i had to like stop walking or i was gonna fall. i don't know i just need advice.
