I accidentally kissed him on the ear, instead of the cheek... do you think he found it weird and is turned off by it?

I have a crush on a guy friend and it's my birthday today and he spent the last birthday hours with me at the pub for a drink as he said 'I shouldn't drink alone on my birthday', so he took some time out of his work schedule to go with me. As we were leaving, we went in for a hug and I was meant to kiss him on the cheek, but because he's taller than me, I accidentally kissed him on the ear as I turned in. He didn't say anything, but smiled and said see you tomorrow.

Do you think he felt it? Or did he find it weird? How do you think he would react inside? This guy also potentially likes me, but I think he is too shy/afraid to say anything.

Neck and ear are like turn on spots. Of course he felt it. He probably understood that you missed the kiss because it happens to all of us. It probably tickled him or he thought it was funny/cute that's why he smiled. Plus you both were drinking so no harm no foul. Next time if he is leaving, give him an actual kiss and leave it at that. He will go home with a smile, eat with a smile, think with a smile, sleep with a smile, and then you'll have you answer the next time both of you communicate.
Communication is key in life, we can't read minds for a reason, and life is to short so speak up. Don't leave your initimate/relationship life in the hands of any boy/man, cause they can be oblivious and air headed for sure with there decisions, so if you need to make a move... Make it :)

If he likes you back, I don't think he'd find it weird, in fact I think that he thought it was cute/he really liked it, based on his reaction of course.

Also of course he felt it! Unless he can't feel his ear for some reason...

Like some of the girls said, I wouldn't overthink this, because if he thought it was weird I think he'd put some distance between you two? I don't really know, but my money is on him liking you. Of course you won't know until you ask.

I don't think it's that weird. You're probably overthinking it. I know that ears are actually pretty sensitive so maybe he liked it, at the very least, he probably knew you were drinking and / or just thought it was cute. Or he literally thought nothing of it.
