Why do guys within the 5'6 to 5'9 range COMPLAIN the most about being short?

I'm 5'3 and it's so annoying when a man above 5'5 complains about being too short because those guys are more likely, than me, to find dates and there are normal sized girls who are shorter than them. Can anyone else relate to this?

They don't appreciate the fact that they are not shorter than what they are

If you are not 5'5 and under then don't call yourself short. It's not going to make you cuter at all.

Unfortunately, I can't relate because I am over 6 feet, but some people just don't know how lucky they are if they aren't the luckiest. Be patient with them and it does seem to be true that girls like taller guys but don't let that worry you too much. Since there aren't a lot of guys who are tall, girls will have to date a shorter guy. Even if all girls were are a goddess in every way there just aren't enough tall guys to go around. Not only that but some of these guys won't be relationship material because the age gap is too big, or they are just horrible people. When it comes down. To it women are free to chase after what they want but in the end it's likely that many women will not be able to secure a tall guy because of supply and demand. You might need to wait a little while for more girls to open their horizons. Keep trying, be patient, and there are a surprising number of girls who are 5 feet. Apparently 4 inches taller is another standard girls like so you are close enough.

Thanks for this thoughtful post. I maybe 5'3 but I can never date a woman that is taller than me. My height is not okay either. Has to be at least one inch shorter than me. I don't understand how some short girls would go for tall guys when tall girls need them more and there would be this awkward height difference. Like one foot taller? Come on. I won't stop trying though. Eventually someone will love me.

I can relate with the wanting the girl to be at least a little short. I can't understand how some tall guys go for really short girls. I would definitely lean towards a taller than average girl. I have two male friends that are 5 feet tall. (Might be a couple inches taller, I can't remember.) One of them has a beautiful girlfriend that is his height so you don't have to worry about a thing. The other one hasn't gotten a girlfriend yet because he isn't ready but many girls still like him. It may be hard to be a short guy at times but the world isn't a dreary as it first seems. As someone who is also very short I do agree with you and chose the second option.

Dating is a lot easier when you're taller than average. Most of my friends are tall but being intelligent and confident will make people look past your height. Most people think I'm taller than I actually am.

Yay finally someone who understands me. My friend is 5'7 and my other friend is 5'8. They have less trouble than I do. They've been in relationships too. I'm 21 and never been in a relationship. Kevin Hart is a perfect example of being intelligent and having people look past his height. I guess it's a combination of character and the people I surround myself with.

Thanks for making me feel better. I'm not ugly and I don't have a pretty face. I have a plain looking baby face. I think girls would overlook a man's height if he's really handsome or he's really rich. There is this guy I know and he's 5'6 to 5'7. He has a horrible personality and girls still date him because of his looks. Fucking hate him cause the things he says about other people gets underneath my skin and thinks he's so short, but girls would still drop their panties for him. People say that he has short man syndrome but I don't think it's because he's short. I think he has asshole syndrome.

Yeah I understand. But I know tall guys that are assholes so definitely is not about the height. I am about 5'4 (or maybe a little more) so it was not a lot of difference. He also had a girlfriend for 2 years that was like 5'2.

Yeah I don't think height has anything to do with ones personality. It's not just tall guys and short guys. There are plenty of normal sized men who are assholes too. Short man syndrome doesn't even exist.

I figured that you are living in the well off area of india. The more rich you are, the more food you can eat. I was in a middle class family my whole life. I lived in a good area in the city my whole life. I never had a problem with food and nutrition. My parents are really short. My height was due to genetics. But genes, man, they are not something people can fight with. You are only three inches shorter than the average man in your class. You still stand a chance next to the 5'11 guy more than I do. Your odds of winning a fight with one is higher than mine. Don't feel intimated by someone being only three inches taller than you. Just take a ruler and you will see that three inches is not that big of a difference. Your neighbor is 6'0. Well stand next to me and you will feel tall.
