How can I show confidence if I have nothing to be confident about?

When I'm out I try to be as confident as I can but the fact is I know I'm not confident. I can't build confidence out of nothing. Girls can see right through me, and now what little confidence I do have has been shot down.

I have the same question. Try thinking about your good qualities...make a physical written list if you have to, and don't let yourself stop before you write 20 good things about yourself. They can be special skills, talents, personality traits, whatever makes you feel good about yourself. Then next to each thing, write down what you can do (actively, starting today) to improve yourself in that area. Maybe take each thing one day at a time, or one week at a time, until you get through the whole 20.

This way, not only can you be confident in the many good things you know about yourself (and thus girls should be lucky to get to know you), you can be confident in the fact that you're making those good things even better.

People can tell you're not confident because of the way you feel about yourself. Even if you don't feel like it talk in a strong voice, smile often, etc. It doesn't matter if you're not feeling it. As long as you go through the moves, people are going to be fooled.
