+1 y[someone else asked this question pretty recently]
My husband is about 3 inches shorter than me (I'm about 6'2", he's about 5'11").
I am an inveterate shoe whore -- girl we're talking 5-6" heels EVERYWHERE, with the gym as pretty much the sole exception -- so, in public he's normally more like 8" shorter than me.
Doesn't matter even a tiny fraction of a shadow of a shit. Next to that boy, I feel like a teeny tiny little bitty little girl.
We've been together for the better part of 17 years, married more than 15, and I can't remember anyone so much as casting a derogatory glance in our direction, much less actually daring to say anything aloud.

I mean... If this is YOUR situation? If you're the tall girl, and you feel "weird" being with a guy who's shorter than you?
Instead of looking at the doom-and-gloom side of this, look at the bright side.
A shorter woman might be stuck with a man who's insecure about stupid shit, and not know it for months... even years.
She may not discover that insecurity until she's already invested her emotions, and mb even her life, in him.
Girl you and me? All we have to do is... stand next to the dude, in some heels.
<3
Poor short girls, they have to actually spend time to get to *know* the boy before they make these terrible discoveries about him.
That's a "W" for us skyscraper chicks.

Oh, and, last but not least -- I like very dominant men. And, if I get that from a man who's shorter than me, I know it's *authentic* dominance.
If you're interested, there's a cool conversation about that in my opinion thread here:

Kinda long, and there's four or five of us in there, but it's a cool conversation. Check it out01 Reply

So weird. Who does that?
Are you *sure* you didn't do something -- without knowing it, of course -- that may have made him self-conscious about the whole thing? That can be a pretty sensitive thing... you never know what might trigger it, especially if you're just getting to know a guy.
I wrote more about that in my opinion here

Check it out.
I'm 5'7" and love heels. I hope guys can handle that.

Asker+1 yme too i love heels
No, it wouldn't bother me at all, as long as it doesn't bother her! :)
I know for a fact that tons of guys like women who are taller (or shorter, or the same height for that matter lol). A woman can be pretty at any height, after all.
But some guys would not be with taller girls just because they're afraid of the weird looks or ridicule they'd get from others for being shorter; this kind of guy is not worth your time if he's going to base his relationship choices on what other people think so much.
BUT, a LOT of other guys are only wary of taller girls simply because a lot of girls are not attracted to shorter guys, or even think less of shorter guys. So in this case, you just have to show that you're attracted to him and totally into him, and then he'll feel better, feel flattered, and be more comfortable being with you. :)03 Reply
Asker+1 yokay thank you! this makes me more hopeful lol :)

No problem! The last time in most males' lives in which taller girls regularly like them... is in middle school/junior high LOL, an age when it's normal for girls to be taller and they don't care about a boy's height so much. xD So trust me: if he's the kind of guy that I described in the last paragraph, he'll feel super flattered that you like him. :) Good luck!
Asker+1 yThanks! I hope so!
+1 yI'm 5'6" and casually dating a 5'9" girl and she's amazing wouldn't change a thing. Am I self-conscious about my own height? Yes, but not about hers. Honestly, you'd have to be about 5'11" without heels before I cared, and that still wouldn't stop me from dating someone I liked.
I tend to only notice my height when other people do, so just forget about the whole damn thing.01 Reply

+1 yBad in h's I was the only guy willing to hang out with girls taller than he was, aside from the really short guys who had no choice... I was fairly tall and these girls normally could only get attention fro basketball players so they appreciated y attention.

Asker+1 ywhat about after high school. like how would you feel about it now?
- +1 y
Things don't change so much. I'm still one of the rare guys who will pay attention to any extent to girls taller than he is.
+1 yI'm surprised you'd even do that.
I'm 5'11" so it's not common for me to come across a girl who is taller than me, although of course it happens. I prefer short women (around 5'1"), but I'd still date someone who was like 6'1". That wouldn't stop me from liking them.06 Reply
Asker+1 ySurprised I'd do what?
Okay :)- +1 y
Like a dude who's 5'6" when your 5'8".
Asker+1 yIt doesn't bother me too much if it doesn't bother him
- +1 y
It will bother some guys, but not at all. I personally don't care because it's not like I can really change my height. It is what it is. It doesn't make me any different of a person either.
I think I'd actually like a taller girl who isn't bothered at all by it. It makes her a lot different, which is actually pretty hot. So I'd definitely date a taller girl.
Asker+1 yOkay thanks! :)
- +1 y
yep.
It probably would, yes.
With that said, one can't really chose for whom he falls... one thing is attraction, but when the ship hits the feelings iceberg.. nothing else to do but embrace it.05 Reply
Asker+1 yOkay. Yea, you're right :)
Asker+1 yI like him, I'm not sure if he's interested or not. He's a bit hot and cold.
Asker+1 yi'm not sure if that's the reason, but i guess i'm a little afraid that he might just find it too awkward or something like that

As long as they're not taller than 5'7/8 I honestly don't care. I'm talking to a gorgeous girl who's 5'8 and she couldn't care less about my height.. She said it herself and she's really into me :')02 Reply
