My boyfriend loves that I am feminine. A lot of women my age... cut their hair short. Let it go grey and start wearing pant suits. He is glad I stay feminine and want to take care of myself.
I don't mind if she wants to fix herself up and such. But when it starts becoming such a process that you have to schedule things around it, that's just too much.
Be presentable, but don't be a princess. Least that's my taste.
This doesn t mean she s feminine. It s more in the attitude and the way she carries herself. You can be simple yet feminine and beautiful. Being high maintenance is another thing.
@Jager66 okay I admit I overexaggerated, but they usually prefer kind boring women, I mean boring to me... I know everyone is individual but kinda seem to me guys mostly want good boring woman/stereotypical feminin woman, and can't really handle me cuase I'm better than them in many 'men' stuff... I don't know... they just can't handle me, but I know I ain't for everyone... but also most of them think they want that typical girl but they don't actually. I don't think I'm a bitch but intimidating and damanding I guess... What kind of women you prefer?
For personality that's hard to describe, I mean there are some obvious character non negotiabels like trust worthy, loyal, kind heart blah blah etc.. but what makes her attractive is hard to articulate for me.
Maybe if I gave some TV show examples that would help?
-Have you seen Dexter? The character Debra Morgan from that show, her personality is suuuuper hot in my opinion, she is mediocre attractive but her personality makes her smokin hot in my opinion. It's her wit, dirty mouth, strong personality, but not bitchy.
-Regina from Once Upon a Time. It's how deeply wounded she is and still manages to be open an vulnerable, that takes a kind of emotional strength that is super sexy. It's hard to spot though because you usually have to get to know someone before you see this in them.
-Aeryn Sun from Farscape, but only towards the end when her character development arc has completed. She's very capable and tough but once she finally commits to someone she is all in, like 110% no matter what.
@Jager66 thanks for you insight, I can't really imagine what guys look for in girls in terms of personality except stereoypical. I only know Debra and really like her and can relate to her a lot, but not that I'm actually like her... I guess you like 'stronger' women adn that is cool so ovi my comment you didn't support, but I think most guys don't like strong women like that... I know 'strong' girls that kinda prefer calmer kind guys, but I personally prefer guys not same but similar to me, I want kinda equal partner
Yeah I hear you about the same/similar equal partner thing.
For example, when a confrontation happens I don't want her to turn into a wet blanket, acquiesce to me, break down into tears, or the opposite either like turning into an angry raving lunatic. I don't want to be bossed around and I don't want to do the bossing, I'm more than happy to lead, if need be, but not for someone that I have to hold her hand for everything. I like a woman with an opinion and a spine who can negotiate and compromise when needed, as I will do the same. Also can't stand nagging and there is also a problem with women who think they are strong but are actually just bitchy.
I dunno.. it's really hard to meet women I'm compatible with because you just can't determine most of this stuff without getting to know the person and that takes lots of time.
@Jager66 Well you must than be really emotionally mature person to have that outlook. I agree on said, but I think I'm a nagger haha and I mean I can be a bitch if I want to. I think equal partnerships are most rare, I think most people go in this dominant/submissive roles or ok submissive/submissive which is also equal, but strong/strong is most rare I think. I consider myself very individual and I rarley meet guys I like, it happened few times in random ways like through friends. I have been really wondering myself also how to meet, it's hard. I think there should be better social ways to meet than Internet or going clubbing... I think we all just need to more hang as friends in real life... here on the internet is very different than reality and then in the clubs you can't even well see a person let along talk to them, and most are there for hook ups. But looks are important too, first yaou gotta be physically attracted to the preson and then see is there personal connection too.
lol that's kinda funny, cause I don't see it as me being strong and mature, everyone's got their annoying and immature parts, I just haven't listed mine :). I think of it like I'm just a normal average guy who's looking for the same thing almost everyone else is, a compatible mate and happy life style.
Your right, it would be very nice if there was a better way to meet people, all my friends got married and had kids in their mid/late 20's, while I was having fun hanging with my bro's, so now all they have time for is taking care of their kids and trying to get some sleep when ever possible lol... When I was in my teens and very early 20's it was still fairly common for people to go to pool halls, arcades, the park/lake or to play sports etc.. made meeting people super fun and easy. Now, like you say, it's all internet and bars /blah.
@Jager66 well yeah actually for a guy you might be normal cause guys should be kinda 'strong' but I guess for girls I'm individual. I apsolutely agree that in high school I met like most people ever, we would hand in the evnings, went to parks, play pool and things like that. I would be home at like 1.
Though I have no way of knowing, I think a lot of the guys that complain about this just do it as a way to make themselves seem bigger/better. It's the reason most people belittle others.

Men don't know what it takes for some women to look feminine. They sometimes contradict themselves
I don't mind if she wants to fix herself up and such. But when it starts becoming such a process that you have to schedule things around it, that's just too much.

Most normal guys prefer a feminine woman. The guys who don't are usually quite effeminate themselves.

What? I'm feminin on the outside but not inside; most guys like my outside but don't like inside... most want little lost gentle girl in my experience
"most want little lost gentle girl in my experience"
That's just not true, unless it's code for men don't like bitchy women.

in my opinion, femininity is about a person's actions / manurisms. Case in point, have you seen a gay guy "be the female" in the relationship?
Makeup and / or clothes can have a small part, but I'm thinking like 5 grains of rice in a pound bag.
The problem is that you equate femininity with make-up. One isn't synonymous to the other.
make up doesn't mean you're feminine. its just paint.
Though I have no way of knowing, I think a lot of the guys that complain about this just do it as a way to make themselves seem bigger/better. It's the reason most people belittle others.
It depends on the woman. Some women can be boyish and adorable. Others don't appeal to me.
I would think that men who dislike feminine women are gay.
Any kind of girl is fine for me! As long as she's not hurting herself. :D
Femininity isn't synonymous with being high maintenance...
Meh, not a guy, but I like both feminine and tomboyish women. A balance of the two is good.
My very first girlfriend tasted a lot like salt. I got over it because she also swapped my Cum!!!
Because they are resentful they aren't getting their 'male' rights
The more feminine the better for me! I love a girl all done up. Makes me proud to have her on my arm. :)
LOL! I for one am a HUGE fan of feminine women. They're getting even more valuable as the become increasingly rare.
Feminine look minus the feminine personality is such a win. That's the kind of girl that all guys should strive for.
