Do boys ever want to protect their crush?

Sometimes I feel... what's all this sex talk.

Don't boys have normal feelings? Like just want to hold the girl and play with her hair and tell her she's pretty. Stuff like that.

A protector protects everything about that woman including her dignity/purity. By only looking at her sexually that guy can't possibly be her protector

I think some do because back when me and my boyfriend were just friends, and I once told him about a guy who basically cheated on me, he wanted to beat that guy up. One time when said guy was messaging me trying to get me back, my now boyfriend (though then best friend) was telling me what to put, this included a message saying something along the lines of

"My m8 said "Oi read the message dickhead" and if you wanna talk to him his name is" and then told me to put both his first and last name.

The guy didn't message him but I really appreciated how my then best friend (now bf) was willing to talk to this guy for me and stand up for me, he was even disappointed when I wouldn't add my ex to our Skype convo so that he could wind him up.

In another situation where I was messaging him and mentioned I was a bit drunk back when we were friends, he kept trying to encourage me to eat bread to soak up the alcohol.

Yet another time when we were friends and I told him about when I was getting bullied in college, he told me if he had been there at the time those bullies wouldn't have liked him since he would have been pissed of with them for pissing me off.

Now we are going out, he also tries to get me to eat if he thinks I am not eating enough/getting too skinny, will even share his food with me (despite mentioning when we were friends that he didn't like sharing his food and I have never asked him to anyway), suggests I take a jacket when we go out in case I get cold or just offers me one of his spare jackets, lets me know if he can see my bra through certain clothing items so I know to wear a white bra underneath or not go out in public with that particular clothing item on, once seemed to panic when I nearly fell off a window sill which he put me on so quickly grabbed me, hugged me one time when my emotions were playing up and I started crying and even insulted himself to make me laugh as well as use one of his new shirts he had on to wipe my tears away.

I'm sure there are other things too but I can't think of them all atm.

On the other hand though, other guy I was before my bf? Never really seemed to care much when I was upset and/or in pain.

Different guys are different.

or they just want to feel close. doesn't have to be bc they are being protective lol thats just what some guys call it bc they can't just say ' i want a hug'. accessing your emotionality takes strength in world where its heavy shunned.. only weenies can't admit they want a hug. 'come hug me so i can't 'protect' you' ;p guys are people people like intimacy from the right people.

Yes, boys also have normal feelings. However you are right in your post. I mean not all guys will only have sex on their mind or will only talk about sex. I mean there are men who are in every sense true protectors.

Lol exactly my thoughts... this why I haven't dated anyone and will not date with someone till I feel she is the one I'll live with the rest of my life. Today everyone is all into the physical attraction. A guy not drooling over a girls pyhsic and respecting her is all the protection I can do for now lol if I liked a girl trust me it will be more small but meaningfull things 😂

As a male, I'm not entitled to protect shit. This view of males as protectors needs to change. Of course I would protect someone if they needed help, but that'sonoy because it's the right thing to do, not because I'm a guy. Women are capable to protect themselves, if they feel like they can't, they can go to the gym to like so many guys do to get fit. To answer your question, I don't think about crushes sexually that often. No, I don't have an innate desire to protect her.
