Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYes somewhat.
Eye contact is weird, if you're peeing and you stare at the dude next to you, thats creepy. At the sinks, the way in or out, it doesn't matter.
Talking can. be totally ok, at the sinks, even when peeing if you're carrying on a normal conversation, or commenting on something, most generally with a friend. No eye contact during the conversation while peeing though, thatd be weird.
you're not going to the toilet to meet new people, so conversation with strangers is kinda weird too in most scenarios. At the sinks or in the queue, even on the pisser cracking a joke is fine though.
You dont take the middle one unless its the only one left.
And as a general rule, you give people as much distance as you can.
Also dont overestimate the size of your junk, stand 50 meters away and end up peeing beside the fucking urinal, puddles on the ground is just nasty. I dunno how many times I've seen puddles under and around urinals but fucking ew people.
Never look at someones parts thats just creepy as fuck11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yYes, there's a "Male Restroom Etiquette".
When you're in thee urinal, you either look forward, up, or down, never to the sides.
No talking.
But the most important rule is to always... ALWAYS leave at least free urinal between you and the other guy, unless it's packed, then that's an exception, but never ever do this.

@Blitzkrieger HAHAHAHA
@altair212 True, the more spaces you can leave between the other guy, the better, but at least one. - +1 y
BS rule. You look to the side if you want and you can look at a dudes dick and if you mirin can tell him he has a nice dick if you want. No guy gets upset at someone complimenting their penis.
Lastlyy, as pointed out the 3 urinal space thing is BS. - +1 y

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI hate conversation with men whilst holding my penis. Inexplicably, there are guys do it. I answer enough to be polite but that's it. It's usually a grunt meant to convey this thought: "I heard you. Now please shut the fuck up until we're done."
Eye contact is even worse. Your eyes should never wander.
There is a formula for choosing a urinal. It's instinctive about giving other guys space. The guy who writes XKCD actually figured out the math, though. It's got kind of a ha-ha-just-being-serious tone. It is both correct and amusing. Especially if you like math.

Opinion Owner+1 yI saw (after I posted it) that your profile says you like science and anything related. So I kind thought you might. :-)
It would be nice if the guy code included always wash your hands but I'm afraid that it doesn't seem to for a lot of guys. They seem to think that if only using the urinal then you don't need to wash hand. Umm, well you've still just handled your junk! Would you want to shake that person's hand after?
Other than that, yeah, just don't talk to me while I'm in the bathroom. It's not a social event!22 Reply- +1 y
Actually, there was a study about men not washing their hand after jacking off and statically, you're more likely to shake hands with a man who just masturbated than catching the flu.
- +1 y
Eww, I'm never shaking a guy's hand again -__- I always wash my hands after mast... ohh, wait, I don't do that #innocentface
Not a strict one, but you need to be relaxed in order to relieve yourself.
And if someone is staring at you or constantly chatting you up it's hard to do what you're there to do.
This is mostly an issue with urinals since you're less than an arm-length away from some other guy you may not even know.
Imagine if you see a pair of feet pointed towards your restroom stall as close to the door as possible. Or some girl knocking on the restroom door every 10 seconds asking if you're done. that's how it feels if a dude standing in the urinal next to you starts staring at you or asking you questions.
If the the other person is your buddy though and they have something quick to say ("hey did you remember to bring?" or "I'm so tired.") It's fine.10 ReplyIts more like a subconscious habit, but yeah its true lmao. men.mthai.com/.../www-brocode-org_1391620165.png

yes No eye contact and yes. Don't take the middle one. (but more like, don't take the stand up urinal next to somebody else it if possible, let's be honest here
you know I have a private part down there and in order for it to release urine it has to be sticking out, girls can be thankful they don't have this problem by the way, so guys have to be careful not to stare, not just for comfort but we might not want a new boyfriend after we are done peeing00 ReplyAs a rule, no talking or eye contact, and you don't look at another guy's equipment. Personally, I don't care about the separation of urinals being used. I just go up to whichever one is open.
I saw a funny video once on mens room etiquette. They said you only needed to wash your hands when somebody else was in there with you.30 ReplyThere is absolutely a code in bathrooms.
1) It's not just don't take the middle urinal, it's never take the urinal directly adjacent to another man, and never take the urinal that would cause another man to do so.
2) A polite nod is acceptable between good friends, beyond that, there is no communication between anyone.
3) Do not daudle. The longer you're in there, the longer you're making some other guy less comfortable.10 Reply- 378 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.
+1 yYea it's true. It's not like something we learned though, or ever talk about a "code". It's just the way it's done.
However, if it's something like an outdoor party, and there is a nearby bush, the rules change. It's kind of OK to stand next to someone, or even talk. I don't know why. Maybe because we are drunk, and it's dark, and the last time we pissed was seventeen beers ago, and we gotta piss really bad. Just don't piss on the other guy's foot - not acceptable.10 Reply
+1 yNo talking: Not necessarily true. I've had a few conversations in the men's room. I've also witnessed several conversations in the men's room.
No eye contact: That's not true and retarded.
Don't take the middle one: Eh. This is talked about and bashed a lot but, in reality, it's not really a big deal.22 Reply- +1 y
The only real rule that's of any major importance is to try not to look at another man's dick. Of course, now that people are comparing cocks in the bathrooms, I can't imagine this standard is going to be held for much longer.
+1 yAn unspoken rule known by birth
1 If there is space, never take the urinal next to another which is in use.
2 If there are only three urinals, never take the middle, that'd be a dick move and the others would have to wait for you.
3 God don't talk to each other while you're peeing
4 If you're tall like me and you're in a stall don't turn your head because you can see over easily
5 Wash your hands and go , you have no muthafukkin business loitering in there10 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIf you are chatting going in it might be acceptable to continue. But it's rare. And you wouldn't start talking in there.
If it's busy every urinal gets used. Otherwise you leave gaps. It's like taking seats on a bus you don't go sit right beside someone on an empty bus. You look straight ahead only at urinals.10 Reply- 988 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.
+1 yWhen we go to the restroom, it's to take a piss or take a shit. Talking can wait. I just don't get people seeing this as a social event. Dude, don't talk to me, I am peeing... I don't know how much of it is actually guy code vs just not something we do.

no eye contact? not while using the toilet or urinal but other than that it's fine
for me the biggest one is. if there are other urinals or stalls available don't sidle right next to someone. always give a person space if possible00 Reply It's just business. Go in, do your thing and get out. The extra urinal is our comfort zone. Ok imagine this, you sit on the toilet but there is no walls, the toilets are placed one beside each other you're almost touching each other. You'd proberbly leave a buffer toilet too. No? Or you girls all go in the stall and take turns pissing?

Pretty much sums it up.20 Reply384 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. The only reason I can see someone taking a middle one is if they really have to go and the other two are occupied, it's nice to have a buffer one.
Some people might talk on occasion if they were having a conversation or something.00 Reply
+1 yYou can chat, but not while handling your business.
If it is possible to leave a urinal between you and another gentleman using the facility, you must do so. If not you may use any urinal, but no eye contact.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI hate when someone takes the middle one. The only time it's okay to use the next one over is if there is a divider. If there are three urinals, and one person is using the left another is using the right and the middle is open. I will wait.
03 Reply- +1 y
You mean to tell me that they don't always have dividers? Weird.
Opinion Owner+1 ydividers are normally only in small restrooms where there is only 2 stalls maybe 3. and if there's 3 maybe 4 then the 3rd or 4th stall is for kids.

Yes there most definitely is a bro code. 😂😂 you NEVER take a urinal next to another dude unless absolutely necessary. The one urinal empty rule. Stare straight ahead, never talk and courtesy flush if you're in a stall 😂😂
10 Reply949 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. People talk, but not often. We're there to do our business. Don't look over and check out another guy's junk when your standing side by side at the urinal and get in/out asap when someone is dropping a duece stinking and farting up the place.
