When you're in thee urinal, you either look forward, up, or down, never to the sides.

But the most important rule is to always... ALWAYS leave at least free urinal between you and the other guy, unless it's packed, then that's an exception, but never ever do this.

I hate conversation with men whilst holding my penis. Inexplicably, there are guys do it. I answer enough to be polite but that's it. It's usually a grunt meant to convey this thought: "I heard you. Now please shut the fuck up until we're done."

This is mostly an issue with urinals since you're less than an arm-length away from some other guy you may not even know.
Imagine if you see a pair of feet pointed towards your restroom stall as close to the door as possible. Or some girl knocking on the restroom door every 10 seconds asking if you're done. that's how it feels if a dude standing in the urinal next to you starts staring at you or asking you questions.
If the the other person is your buddy though and they have something quick to say ("hey did you remember to bring?" or "I'm so tired.") It's fine.
