Guys on Tinder who don't reply?

There's this really cute guy that I finally matched with on Tinder the other week after I swiped right to him a week earlier. I told him I liked his smile and he messaged back the next day and was like thanks! He asked me what I did and I answered and asked him about him but no reply!! He hasn't unmatched me but he hasn't replied either and it's been over a week! I don't know if he just doesn't go on Tinder often or he's one of those guys who just match with people for the lols and doesn't unmatch either. Thoughts on what is happening?

probably doesn't go on Tinder much. for comparison, out of about 40 or so matches I have, (not counting those who unmatching before saying anything) only say 10 or so ever messaged at all and 8 of those 10 stopped after a couple of days without unmatching.

They are doing you a favor: not leading you on.

some people really don't care about tinder and probably just uses it when he is bored. he might not necessarily be looking for a date

Aw, I like talking to people and he works in the same industry as me so it would be good networking/friendship opportunity even though ofc, Tinder is not the best way to do that haha!!

I don't know if I should follow up and ask if he is okay cause we had an earthquake over here a week ago as well? Or maybe it's cause he's in a different city and doesn't see the point of carrying on the conversation?

Tinder is a competition. Odds are you aren't the only girl texting him especially if he is very attractive. And once I set a meet with girl I'm interested in I stop messaging all the others. My advice move quick and be assertive.

I've used tinder & you'll have plenty of matches who will either not respond or just not respond after talking for a day or so. Kinda sucks but it happens on tinder
