He never initiates a text first?

I started texting this guy he asked me to go for coffee next time I'm near him, as my sister lives where he does and I usually visit up there. So we've been texting but I always have to initiate the conversation and I'm starting to feel like he's not that interested.

He always responds immediately and keeps the conversation going but he just never initiates. He has sent me a Snapchat once or twice first. I'm a bit confused what to do. I haven't text him in two days and he still hasn't said anything to me.

He did tell me he hates texting and gets fed up with it but what do you think?

Give up he clearly isn't interested

Stop texting him and see will initiate, if he doesn't just move on

I wouldn't give up he probably just doesn't like to text first.

Texting is about the worst way there is to get to know someone. Most guys will do it enough to plan for the next meet up IRL.

Remember - it's 20K words a day for women, about 5K for men. Chat up your girlfriends - you'll get more out of it.

I'm going through the same thing with a guy I am interested in. The difference is he has 3 kids and doesn't stay on his phone very much. Mostly to check sports scores.

Does your guy have kids? Does he text other people when you are around so you can see what some of his patterns are?

Some people are just not good at texting. If he is texting back straight away and asking questions to me that's a good sign. As annoying as it is he probably just expects u to initiate now. If he was ghosting you then, I would say he wasn't interested. Just don't give up just yet.

Make sure the next time you text him to text him in last. Then if he doesn't text you back he aren't interesseted.
It's really not hard to send "Hi, how are you today / what your doing?"
If he never do it maybe your just a way to kill time / a second choice for him.

Then why would even bother asking me out? He is allowed to talk to other girls aswell like that's no problem for me as we're not even dating. He sends me snapchats instead of texting that's what I'm trying to get at. He never starts conversation with me first.

sounds like he just hates texting! some people are like that, maybe try snap chatting a bit. If you actually meet him in person and have a proper chat hopefully you will get a better idea. it does sound like he is keen to talk to you though once you initiate!

I feel guys would know the answer to this better. The guys who are really interested in you though... will always find ways to get to you. But the ones who you will be interested in, sometimes won't be as active in pursuing you. So if you're interested in him, you have to take initiative in him and make him interested.

Most people don't like texting and would rather actually talk. I assume you grow up talking to people on the phone instead of texting right? With the Nokias and the razor some people don't like texting. You can always call maybe he would like that instead.

Well on the plus side he's not a stalker. But if you always text him first there's no incentive for him to initiate. Give him some space and see what happens.
