Why does my crush insult me?

We don't talk at all, but I think he knows that I like him. Our mutual friend tells me that he is always insulting me. For example, at lunch, my best friend sat next to him and his best friend. His friend pointed to me (I wasn't paying attention) and teased, "Oooh, look. There's goes your girlfriend." Then, he said, "Hell freaking nah! That b*tch ugly as hell! She has a bobblehead!" Of course, I was very very sad when I heard that. What's worse is that my best friend likes HIS best friend! But he's already dating, so my best friend has no chance with him. My crush is single, though. Ahh. When I'm next to him in line, he always looks somewhere else and intentionally moves away. He's always clowning around in class. I don't know why I like him. :( Help. He hates me and thinks I'm ugly.

Because he is a young teen guy. Any attention to him is enjoyed even when it is bad attention. Soon he will mature and want the correct kind of attention from you. He sounds like he likes you and has no idea how to act with you. He does not hate you, he just wants your attention and that is the easiest way for him to get it.

Probably because he likes you and you make him nervous/shy. Google how to know when someone likes you and that is one of the ways you can tell. So since he is a bad boy he is acting differently with you. That shows that your different to him.
