Can guys tell when a girl they're close to is on her period?

I never tell anyone when I'm on mine except for my female friends if it comes up. However I do hang out with a lot of guys. I only have one real female friend right now, and I haven't even talked to her in a few day. But I have this one guy friend in particular whose kind of like a brother to me, he's a year old, looks out for me and stuff. He ALWAYS knows because he says I get way more emotional. Like generally I'm pretty happy and giggly, but on my period supposedly I get mad and upset easier.

Then there's this other guy I've "kinda" been talking to about dating but we're not really serious about anything yet, and I always just feel like he knows. He spends a lot of our conversations teasing me, which I'm fine with, generally it makes me laugh. But then when that time of the month comes around I actually get mad sometimes, and usually I don't care how long it takes him to text me back, on my period if he doesn't text me back after like four hours, I get kind of mad and when he finally does message me I'll reply with like a one word message to let him know I'm mad, but if he doesn't reply to THAT, then I send another longer message to bait him into replying, and then when he does, I ignore that reply for like an entire day or longer sometimes. Which is bad. And that's probably why he avoids messaging me on my monthly. If he knows at least.

Not sure why you play games with Joe Blow #2. Be straight forward with him. I wouldn't text someone who is angry either. Why invite drama into your life? We all just want to be happy. All girls (myself included) become short tempered around their period. It gets worse as you get older. Understand that "Bitches be Crazy" and then wire your shit tight and stop being crazy. If you feel yourself becoming angry, do something different and stop being angry. Don't take your feelings out on others. They want to help you, but do not want to be miserable in doing so. If your frequently angry with them they well frequently flake out on you. Sounds exactly like what you have happening here. Yes guys know when were ragging it, not all of them, but those who have an actual ability to love a woman. My father could smell it out from across the house, my grandfather could tell because our skin becomes more transparent and thinner at that time. Knowing your ragging it because your angry (anger happens about a week before the actual rag) is simply your inability to control your own emotions, due to your hormonal changes. That being said, you can control them, it takes practice and constant self reflection. Don't play games, be open and honest.

Guys dont know that they know. They know because of pheromones which cause them to get a bit horny and thats usually why guys seem more sexually active when you're on your period. Your body is sending out signals to their bodies letting them know that you are ready to have babies. but they know actually know, just their body.

I like how you were honest about the msgs. I think guys could tell... Some guys will say that they can smell the blood. Like that metallic scent. But I think they actually smell the change in BO, like the change in the scent from the sweat.

It depends but there are a variety of tells. Just cause we think you might be having a period does not mean that we will let on that we know. Unless she is in pain or needs to change, and we need to comfort her. We won't let on that we know. No need to embarrass our female freind.
it is kind of like having a freind with anger issues. You know when he will blow and how he might act and we try to keep him calm and cool without saying that is is having trouble controlling his anger.

It really depends on how well they know the person. is it some girl I just passed by on the street? then no, it's very unlikely (like almost impossible).

If it's someone I've known for a while, or know really well, then It becomes pretty obvious because they exhibit emotional/psychological changes.

Depends greatly. I can usually tell with the girls I'm pursuing, partly because I'm focused on them and partly because the types of girls I like get rather exuberant at that time. Some don't even try to hide it (which I think is attractive).

To be honest, though, most guys can't tell because they usually aren't very observant
