Why would my ex add me back on all social media again?

I saw him the other day for the first time in months. He has a new girlfriend and I honestly really like her and I'm not jealous whatsoever and he was the one who broke things off with me for no reason at all and decided to delete me off social media. Ever since I saw him he won't stop snap chatting me and I won't snap him back because he's in a relationship and I actually respect his girlfriend. And he they seem really happy I just don't know why he's trying to get my attention I mean ever since we broke up I've really been taking care of myself eating healthy and really going to the gym so I know I look way hotter than I use to.

From a relationship coaching lens, this sounds a lot like someone trying to double deep or keep someone on reserve.
I love your approach, the respect you have for his girlfriend and their relationship. Truly. Unfortunately, there are some women/girls that would love the attention he's putting on you and they'd fall for it, hook, line, and sinker. Stay cool with him, keep your distance, and things'll be just fine.

I'm not going to lie I do love the attention but I won't entertain it. Can ask you why a few months ago he told my best friends boyfriend that he feels bad and how sorry is for leaving and how he left me but will never apologize to me. Like an apology would mean everything to me.

There could be a couple reasons for this:

1) He knew the message would get back to you and that was the first open door back to you. The frequent snap shat was the next.

2) He can't apologize to you because it would be admitting he did something wrong in a very personal way. Frankly, very few people are good at this.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's tough trying to figure out your gf/bf, it's even harder to know what the fuck an ex is thinking. Since your not together though it makes it easy as you don't have to use an effort on him. Keep ignoring him like you been or block if it gets too annoying.

There are only 2 reasons.

1: He is genuinly over everything and considers you a friend and an important part of his past (the less likely option)
2: Dat boi horny af, thinks you look hotter and are doing better off without him and wants what he can't have. He wants some sexting and some nudes. Dunno the guy so can't express anything further but yeah.
You sound like you're pretty strong so you do you and what you think is right for yourself

I know he does. He tells mutual friends on how bad he feels and how sorry he is for leaving me and how he did it but he will never tell me that.
