My crush told me he is suffering with depression, but did not tell his girlfriend. why?

is it that he doesn't trust her enough or is he afraid she'll leave him? does he just trust me more?

since he's told me, he's been texting me quite often. Do you think he may be having second thoughts on dating his current gf? Also, is there any possibility that he may fall for me because I'm always going to be here for him and he knows that?

Sometimes it's tricky to talk to SOs, and easier to talk to friends.
I'm not sure it's a good idea to hope that he falls for you because of this. It's good that you're supporting him, but emotional vulnerability shouldn't be the basis for a relationship in my opinion.

hell him to speak to his girlfriend. and maybe its cuz he isn't as close with his girlfriend than he is with you

maybe he trusts you. also my good friend has depression and he likes to be hugged and comforted, so try that

Maybe he is insecure and doesn't want his girlfriend to see this side of him because he might think it makes him look weak.
