It could be sexual thoughts (horny) or an attempt to steer the conversation that way... but, seeing your 40? (ie, he's not likely immature, young and horny looking for strictly sex) and you really like this guy (assuming things are going well between you), it could also just be a random question he's throwing out there (ie, nothing to read into, it was just something that popped into his head so he asked, especially if he couldn't think of something else to ask). It may have been a bit of both?

@deepguy If you have sexual interests then you try to direct the conversation in that direction, hopefully with some subtlety and with a willingness to back off if the responses aren't receptive.

The method is much the same as if you wanted to get a girl to see you as a potential partner without actually asking her out. You flirt, you shift the conversation in subtle ways over time to put the thought in her mind. Of course, it's easier to just ask a girl out when you are interested than it is to just say "Wanna fuck?" when you're sexually interested, hence why subtle shifts towards the subject may work better. They allow a person to gradually warm to the idea and if there is no likelihood of that then they will shut it down fairly early and you move on.

Also in the first place how do u meet them 1 to 1 alone? IN terms of texting, when say some random chick (not your girl) sets up a group chat etc

I find that to be highly inappropriate, and you should simply ask him why. 9/10x he just wants to have sex or is fantasizing you sexually out of lust. And I suggest that you set boundaries or cut him off. Unless he has a serious question concerning that, that is not his business.
