My closest guy best friend texted me out of the blue yesterday this long paragraph about how thankful he is to have me in his life, and how good of a friend i am to him for always checking up on him and what not. And like i m trying not to over think it, cuz in all honesty it was just a guy telling his friend thanks for being a great friend. but like he and i took a nap at the same time, and when i woke up, i texted him and told him i had a weird nap, cuz of my dream and he said he had a weird nap too. and when i asked why, he said he couldn t tell me. we tell each other practically everything. like we talk about our sexual experiences with others, with each other. he's even told me about past sex dreams he's had about other girls, so like i don t see what could have been so strange that he couldnt tell me. and then my roommate brought up the idea, that maybe he had a sex dream about me, and i ve been thinking about it ever since. like at the very least he must have had a dream about me, else he would have told me what made his nap so weird. I know I m over thinking things, so will someone please help me just I don't know make some sense as to why you think he was acting so strange.

Simply he don't want to say it for these possible reasons.

1- he like u but u friend zoned him
2- he he like u and it will be bad to try to win u or make u like him or he think he got
Chance and this won't help and will do the opposite
3- he is just shy to say I had wet dream about u , don't wan to screw up friend ship or u think he got feelings which he doesn't

His dream could of been about death or killing. If that was the case maybe he just need some time to think to himself. It could of been a sex dream but what if it was with one of your family members or his family. Your his best friend and he'll tell you sooner or later. Don't overthink to much.

As always, you are both fooling yourselves and each other. Men and women cannot be friends, its biology. There may be a few rare exceptions but I'm not talking about those.

As time goes on, neither of you will be honest with each other and you will continue pretending that men and women can be just friends.

What you are doing is realizing the friendship is a farce but neither have the guts to admit and just continue colluding with each other.
