Some do , some don't. I guess it depends on how mature he is. Silly minded , Immature guys tend to do that.
Talking shit about hookups isn't gender related though , coz i've known some girls to talk shit about guys they've hooked up with too. They laugh at his small dick, or sexual inadequacy. It shows they are very immature though. People like that come across as so childish and stupid

Don't think it has to do with maturity, I mean bragging about the amount of girls you hooked up with is childish but advising each other and talking about people they have dated is perfectly acceptable and both genders do it

Eventually it will happen one day, but not often. If the topic of discussion just so happens to be about girls or about their past, then the guys may start talking about it randomly and talk shit about the girl
