Guys, Why would you add a girl on instagram if you don't know her?

Guy adds a girl on instagram (hers is private). Guy does not know the girl, but the girl follows the guy back because they have mutuals so she assumes she knows him. She looks through his pics and doesn't recognize him. Messages him to ask if he knew her and he said he didn't, but he thought she was beautiful. Messaged back and forth and then he stopped replying.

Why add in the first place?

After you talk with him he might have found you annoying or lying.. So he arrived to conclusion that u r not the one who he should date. So he moved on to find another one or he just quitted texting you.
