When me and my boyfriend had an argument, his dad took me home. But we stopped off somewhere first and had a chat about things, obviously at that point I thought it was totally innocent and I honestly enjoyed his company, he was funny and nice to talk to.
But I made the mistake of giving him my number. I did this because he said that if I ever have an argument with his son and leave late, call him and he'll pick me up to take me home, because he said he didn't like the idea of me walking the streets at night. I thought that was kind.
But since then, he keeps texting me asking if I want to come out in his car, I don't think he'd do anything but he obviously knows it would be weird to others because when I agreed a while back (it was because he said he had an update about how my boyfriend was doing, he's been going through a rough time and I gave him space for a few days), his wife rang him and he made an excuse to where he was! He also told me to delete the texts he sends me in case his son sees!
He asked me tonight if I want to come out for a ride tomorrow, I said I can't because I'm going out with friends (it's true) and he got all weird about it and said "oh well if you'd rather sit in doing nothing thats fine I won't ask again👍🏼" what the fuck? Then I explained it's not that, I actually am going out with friends. I can't be rude to him because I don't want to be disliked, I want to keep the peace, plus I don't know what he'd act like or do if I was rude.
Then he started acting manipulative by saying "I'm only offering, because I thought it would cheer you up (he always says that but I don't know why he thinks I need cheering up?) I feel like I'm asking and you don't want to and I don't want that" he still said if I want to go out tomorrow text him.
- I can't tell my boyfriend, he'd get really angry and there'd probably be a huge argument and he'd start on his dad
- if I tell his dad I'm uncomfortable he'll probably deny his weird behaviour

No one understands, my boyfriend isn't like some men, he won't be understanding if I told him I actually have been out in his dad's car to talk, because he'll get crazy ideas that I like his dad and he'll most likely have a fight with him.
Also about the texts. I've always tried to have polite responses, asking how he is when he asks me, saying goodnight when he says goodnight, etc. Am I just "leading him on" in a way? Cause when he asks if I'll come out I try to be polite and say another day
