Would a guy ever reject a sex invite?

as in if you just randomly out of nowhere asked a guy or a friend you known for a while to have sex with you would any guy reject it? if so why would they reject it?

I don't know about other guys but I've never had a girl just walk up to me and offer me sex. If it happened I'd have to say I'd be super skeptical. If there's something you've just been dying for and striving for all this time and someone just offers it to you, you can't help but assume there's a catch. Is she trying to manipulate me into something, does she want money, is this a practical joke? Yeah I know it sounds so sexist and cynical (and it is) but there it is. Maybe it's just low self-esteem that makes me think a girl wouldn't have sex with me because she wants to - that there must be an ulterior motive. I might turn it down just on that reason alone.

Secondly I think I also need some time to warm up to a girl - even if I'm totally attracted to her. I'm not an old-fashioned guy. I have no problems with casual sex, friends with benefits or one-night stands but I don't know if I'd be able to do it. Admittedly I'm a shy and socially nervous guy and I don't think I could handle the anxiety of getting that intimate that fast with someone I don't know. Even if it's a friend I'd still be nervous. If I didn't turn it down for the above reason, this would probably be the one. Then again I might just accept because I never get propositioned and can't afford to burn a perfectly good opportunity.

And I might not be in the mood for it or I might not be interested in the girl. Who knows?

I'd love to be having more sex in my life but I want to do it under the right circumstances with the right people. So yeah, we have our reasons. We're not machines. We're human and sometimes we're just not up for sex, just like women. I think most men would be more like than most women to have sex at the drop of a hat but it's not like the stereotypes say. It's not something you can always count on.

The primary reason would be if I'm in a relationship with someone, or if I'm actually busy at the moment she asked, or I, for some reason, don't completely trust them. Aside from the reasons I listed above, I wouldn't.

I know guys who would. Not all guys are horn dogs. He might not be into the girl, might not be interested, might not want to complicate the relationship, he might think the girl is dirty, etc.

Yes I would and I have for various reasons, but for the example you posted it would be to protect the friendship.

-knowing the girl is not single
-lack of trust
-lack of attraction
