Am I single because I'm ugly?

I'm 17 years old and I've never had a boyfriend. Because of this, I'm very insecure. I've gotten attention from guys online and in person before and we end up talking for awhile, and then stop talking (this Is usually because they're talking to other girls even though they tell me they want me to themselves). I've always had self esteem issues and I think I'm maybe average but a lot of people say I'm cute or pretty (without me asking) also, I'm really shy and my family says I look unapproachable. I don't know. Guys sometimes stare at me but won't approach me in public. Also, I'm not easy and I'm still a virgin. Now I know that when you're ugly you have a tendency to make up excuses as to why you're single, do you guys think I'm single because I'm ugly?

Who told you that "you need to date these many guys and have sex these many times to be beautiful?" Who ever told you that, get that out of your mind!

Don't rush into a relationship, Highschool ones don't last long on average anyways. Spend time growing, learning, doing the best in school, play sports, make friends, build your future!

Don't worry about dating, that will come. Be comfortable with being yourself and get to know yourself! The person you spend the most time with, is yourself! Take it easy!

If you rush into a relationship, if you get into a relationship at the wrong time it won't work. Build yourself. Become the best version of yourself, not who others want you to be! Think constructively! Seriously!

You will find someone, don't rush, when someone comes along talk to them.

Sooooooo people tell you your pretty and cute and that dont mean nothing, you attention and that dont mean nothing, and your not easy, so where in the hell you get ugly from?

Plus, side note your making life hard on yourself. Your single for simple fact is your not an easy person to talk to. Seems like you throw a pity party for what ever reason. You neeed to own it young lady, brag if you have to, tell yourself these insecurities and self esteem are like haters. Push pass what your mind is thinking cause your listening to negitives a lot.

i used to think that too. i was average as a teen now i can say without doubt i am quite attractive but i still had no boyfriend. maybe because i attract the wrong kind of guy. there's a youtubeer called shellon lester she made some amazing videos about how much being approachable matters. i am way more confident around guys by now so i get a lot of approaches / flirtation. still no boyfriend though. don´t worry about it. and yes i know thats easier said than done. i know lots of average people in relationships and gorgeous people who are single. it´s not just that.

Hard to say without the picture but I doubt it anyway. Being in a relationship isn't a success by the way unless it's a happy relationship and such are kinda... rare from what I've seen.

Look, you are obviously pretty. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you or you having standards. You dont have to rush things. Always respect yourself.
Im a 21 year old virgin, I get compliments all the time. People always ask, "why aren't you in a relationship?" And thats okay. Just be yourself and let the right one come for you whenever you decide to get serious. Dont let anyone make you feel bad.
