Me and my ex matched on tinder! What does it mean?

I have an ex of 3 years that's in my circle of friends (so we are actually friends and we hang out quite a bit) we were each other's first everything and we dated for 4 months. recently we matched on tinder. I swiped right cos i found it funny that I saw him on there and I assumed that's the reason he matched too (bare in mind I had a crush on him a few months back)

i didn't think much of it but then at 5am after a party we were both at he messaged me on tinder whilst drunk with a gif saying 'heeey!' (This was about 2 weeks after we matched so he would have had to go through his matches to chat me) Recently he's paid slightly more attention to me aswell. Like is he tryin to smash or does he like me or is it just friendly? Also matching with me on tinder I don't know what the meaning of that is on his part

I and my ex matched on Bumble, and he liked me on OKCupid as well right after breakup. I said what a douche. And actually on Bumble we matched three times on three different occasions. First one was I was joking around with friends and we were swiping right everyone. He swiped me first apparently. Second one was an accident on my side I saw his profile, but unconsciously I swiped right and I couldn't take it back. Instead I immediately unmatched him.

After these two incidents I thought he doesn't even check who he swipes right, he swipes right everyone to increase his chances given the fact from the studies that boys are less picky and they have lower chances of keeping a convo and getting an actual date.

So anyways, it happened a third time. I just swiped right on purpose when I saw him and baammm we matched again. I left it in my inbox, did not message him till 24 hour was up. Next day he extended the messaging but I didn't write again. Then I dont know what happened. I dont even know why he extended the talk for 24 hours. Probably he wanted to fuck my brain but I didn't give a flying fuck.

I think you two match dont mean anything. I bet he doesn't even notice he got matched with you. If he noticed and didn't start a convo on Tinder (assuming you two are on good terms but he lost your phone number to text and so wanna initiate messaging over app to get your phone number again), then it still means nothing. If he did it on purpose, he just probably wanted to see whether u would swipe right too to see if you are strict with who you swipe right, and if you notice him. You swiping him right instead of left would show him you're just looking for anyone and swiping anyone right, maybe he wants to see your hookup side. I don't know. All of these are hypothetical things.

Dont read too much into these things. Dont even think. Let it go. Past is past and ink is dry. He is your ex for a reason. If anything will happen again between you two, it won't be because of something trivial like the answer of why he swiped me right on a hookup app.

by the way , i just reread and notice the part of "drunk texting after 5 am" from his side. At that late time, when you're drunk, the only reason someone texts is for booty call, for sexual arousal. Since you clearly answered him, I think he probably concluded that he can hit you right in your g-spot and he can release his bodily fluids. It is easy to do it with someone you know, rather than with someone you just met. You know what I mean?

Not surprised you match if you have similar interest and personality. It doesn't mean nothing as obviously it didn't work out. As for paying more attention to you most likely just to fuck as that is normally what people seem to like to do with people still after breaking up.
