Guys, a male friend recently kissed me on the neck when we hugged goodbye. Is he interested in more?

He walked me to my car, we hugged... and for some reason hugged a second time and that’s when he kissed my neck. We’ve been friends for a while but up until recently have never been single at the same time. Is it just wishful thinking on my part or is he signaling interest?

Clearly he's interested in "something more", but as a woman, you need to always remember that 95% of the time, that "something more", to a man, means SEX and NOT romance/relationships. Of course there are exceptions, but you should always ASSUME it means "just sex" and be (happily?) surprised when it means something else.

It increases the chances that it isn't "just sex", but that should STILL be your assumption until proven otherwise. You must always remember that a single man's FIRST priority is almost always going to be SEX, and NOT a relationship.

It's like this: if you have a gunshot wound and a splinter in your toe, which one are you going to focus on? The gunshot wound! It's not that the splinter doesn't hurt or isn't important, it's just not your priority. For most guys not having sex, their first priority is HAVING SEX, and once that need is taken care of, they can start to think about other, lower priorities, like being in a relationship.

That doesn't necessarily mean you need to sleep with him first, but he needs to know that if you're in a relationship with him, that sex won't be something he'll be lacking. That takes the issue off the table and lets him focus on other things.

It sounds like interest but you should explore it further. Give him an available space to open up the topic somewhat and if he doesn't, soon, you open the topic. Don't waste an opportunity that you want by being non-committal.

That's as much of a non verbal signal as a guy can give. Don't expect him to be more obvious than that. The ball is in your court now to signal reciprocal interest. If you don't, he will assume you're not interested.
