When we look at relationship, many guys are controlling and expect women to submit to their wants and need. An example of this, comes from men throughout centuries expecting women to be virgins/little sexual experience and wait for him while he sticks his dicks in multiple women and then decides to marry her. This attitude is still prevalent today among guys.
Even dating seems very weird when you look at men expecting women to give affection/sex towards them just because they payed for a meal or gave them gifts.

1) I seriously doubt the one in four figure. Let's do the maths. In Germany there are about forty million women (just about eighty million citizens and about a 50/50 spread). Let's say that a quarter of them is not yet in relationship age (which is generous, the actual number is lower), which we define as 20 to 80 years. That leaves thirty million women. Let's assume that the one in four figure is correct, that leaves 7.500.000 women who will be experiencing / have experienced sexual abuse. We then have 7,5 mil. women / 60 years = 125.000 women / year. This number essentially says "if there's always about the same amount of women and the abuse rates over a sixty year period filled with relationships is one in four then it is reasonable to expect around 125.000 women a year in shelters". In reality this number is about a tenth of that (source: http://www.big-berlin info/news/414), suggesting something closer to one thirtieth of all women will be abused in their relationships.
2) Yes, men tend to appreciate dressed up women which they find pretty. It's almost like humans want to be around pretty humans, as if appearance was an important factor in mate selection. How queer.

Based on my experience the man tends to be the pater familia and has the last say but the final decision is made by the woman. They don't as much expect them to submit as much as expecting them to agree since the man usually takes his partner into account when making decisions.
4) Yes, throughout history men often preferred virgins. Why? It was seen as virtuous to remain a virgin, not because she was suspected to wait for her man but because polygamy and polyandry were both seen as negative, in contrast to the monogamy which often was preached. I believe this was stricter enforced for women but also existed for men. However, I will grant you this, back in the day women were treated worse, in a sense, than men, very much so.
5) Show me examples of men who are not considered shitbags by wider society who expect paying for dinner to be enough to award them sexual activity. The way I see it the men pay for dinner because they see it as their duty, the sex afterwards is seen separately from who paid the bill that evening.

Since the beginning of time, or as so we we're taught, the male species has been either hard-coded or taught that women we're of a lesser stature and status and thus more property than feeling human beings.

1 in 4 women may suffer abuse at some point but that’s not because 1 in 5 men are abusive. A smaller group of men are avusive to every partner they have.
When it comes to violence there’s really not much uncertainty: most couples with violence both parties initiate the physical violence. In those where only one party does men are only slightly more often the violent one. There are a lot more violent women than is realized. However: violent men tend to do significantly more damage.
If you want to talk about “through the centuries” it’s not really true that women had to be virgins. Young widows were pursued for marriage. What -is- true is that men are more concerned than women are about sexual fidelity in someone they intend to have children with. Wanting your children do be yours is not “thinking women are objects”.

Depends on the individual man. Women can also be sexually possessive sometimes. My two cents worth is that a woman's humanity is an essential part of any attraction I might feel for her. It's also partly about looks, but I don't separate the human aspect from the physical.
We largely see women as human beings, but I think many men regard modern women with a little bit of disdain. It's sad, but I'm not entirely sure than men and women really even like each other.
Men are to love their wives as Christ loves the church, cherish her, provide for her, and NEVER abuse her in any way shape or form. And maybe cook dinner for her every once in a while.
I think half and half. We are human beings as their property.

❌❌❌ It is such a DOUBLE STANDARD. Women are more shallow and have higher expectations then men. Don’t give us that bullshit. Women want everything these days, we only ever hear women complaining.
It's not that women have higher expectations, it's more that men are easily satisfied with less. When I met my ex-wife she had literally the clothes on her back and a child. I gave her a house full of furniture and all my heart. I was very happy with things like they were but she always wanted better. Bigger nicer house, top of the line phone, jeans that cost $200, it didn't matter what I did it was never enough. Eventually I gave up. She let the things that she didn't have make her a bitter person who was perpetually unhappy.
