Why did my boyfriend say another girl's name?

Okay so we went out the other night and when we came home, he was passing out, so I started messing with him to wake him up, and he was like "oh yeah" and then I was like what's my name? and he's like Jenn, and I go WHAT? and he goes Jenn, I flipped out on him and am like what the hell is going on here? and he the next day says he didn’t say it and doesn’t remember. It pretty much hurt me. And this girl I found out is a bigger set woman who he has told me about before from work, and that he thought she was nasty and so on. And this other guy he works with says yeah she is nasty and so on. And I’m like was he just dreaming about work, and that she was in it? But at the moment I was touching him why did he say her name? Should I just brush it off? Or should I be worried?

There was this girl I was dating and we were really in love but of course we had our disagreements. So one time and this was one of our first fights actually and it reminded me of an ex girlfriend I was with for years so in one moment I called this girl the name of my ex. It wasn't intentional and I didn't mean anything by it and I had no residual feelings for my ex girlfriend because we're really good friends now and haven't fought since we broke up. But the fight did remind me so much of those fights so I guess that's why I called her by the others name.
So maybe he was just thinking of some other situation and said her name. I would suggest not making a too big of a deal but maybe bring it up and talk about it with him.

Since you were messing with him while he slept/passed out, I don't think you should worry about it. Even if he slipped once or twice during the moment, it happens. I have never cheated on anyone I was with and I have said the wrong name before. It really doesn't mean anything.

Do people get this upset when you call an orange a melon? I said the other person's name not because I was thinking of that individual, but because it just happened. Haven't you ever described something and said the wrong thing? You attach the hot and common on the one side and the common on the bottom (when you really meant to say ground). Some people refer to it as a Freudian slip though it doesn't correlate. With all the subjects we talk about, it is bound to happen sooner or later.

We are very emotional beings. It is so easy to worry about something for nothing, or jump to conclusions when coincidence places a factor. We should all try to be understanding and not get worked up for nothing. So fickle are feelings and how quickly things can change, sometimes irrevocably.

It was just because of the fact; at the moment I was touching him and he said another girls name and that bothered me, because if he was turned on, which he was, I don't really want him thinking of someone else.

I'll set the record straight about the turned on part. There are parts of a guy that if you touch it will automatically respond with an erection. Even if that is unwanted (say from a sibling, sport, or someone you aren't attracted to). A male masseur can be giving a massage to a straight man who gets a boner from a leg massage. The receptors on the inside of the thigh is one of those spots. The patient isn't gay and some may feel uncomfortable by the reaction. We had to be able to explain why.

Are you really alert when you first wake up? I know my friend's child can have his eyes open and still be in the middle of a night terror. I have talked to my friends while sleeping, even given them hand gestures. Once I had someone kick the door in to my room. I woke up but it took 5 seconds or so before I was like, wtf just happened. Granted I was drinking that night too so it didn't help when I needed to be alert.

Yeah I am always alert when I first wake up. there's no excuse for him to say another girls name. in order to do that she has to be on his mind in the first place.

That would bother me lol, but I am just wondering if he is starting to become attracted to her, or maybe he just says that stuff about her, so I don't think anything of it. I just thought it was weird and was hoping it wasn't nothing bad..
