+1 yI know a lot of people are being a little harsh and I'm always the first to say that a guy is just being a guy and its no big deal. Which the actual hooters thing isn't a big deal at all (to me at least, all girls are different and have the right to be). Now where I am a bit conflicted is how you told him that it makes you a little uncomfortable, which you are entitled to your opinion and you told him this which is good. And you said you would like to go with him to see the place next time, and he blatantly went anyways without telling you. If I were you I would just feel hurt that he went without telling you when he knew it bothered you. If i were you I would let him know that hurt you, and it makes you feel as if he being dishonest and it is breaking your trust more. Don't attack him, just tell him how you feel blatantly. Relationships are built off of trust, I can't stress how important this is in a relationship. Its not something you just mess around with, I don't think he is hiding anything I just think he needs space and its his guy time and he is being a bit childish about it. But I would give him some space and then talk about it with him and tell him how you feel. I know its hard to give space, but its obvious its what he wants even though he's not telling you. And if you would like, you can ask him calmly if he needs space. My boyfriend will tell me outright that he needs space and I give it to him. You could offer up the option for him to tell you when he's feelings that way, I think it may help a lot. But don't disregard your feelings, not every girl is going to be okay with certain things and its okay. You weren't banning him from hooters or telling him he couldn't go, you were just trying to understand and I think he felt a little smothered is all. Its his guy time and guys love their guy time. But I know where you are coming from and I really recommend doing some of things I stated alright? :)

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOkay I'm a bit controlling too so I understand you.
If he didn't tell you, there's a reason probably because he knew you were going to be mad.
Now as I read you told someone, you both had an argument about Hooter's before, you asked him to not go without you and still he went?
To me that's bad, really bad because he's not giving a fuck about what you asked him and what your words mean to him.
You told him! And he still go!
I would be mad, yes I feel you22 Reply- +1 y
Thanks hey. Glad there is someone that doesn't think im overreacting
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah I mean, more than the fact of he going to Hooters where he probably did nothing. What makes me mad is that he didn't give importance to what you both talked.
That's the real deal here.
He doing exactly what you told him not to do, it's a lack of respect and means his word has no value then.
If he agreed to not go without you, then still go?
I would be freaking out. As I told you, probably nothing happened in the restaurant, is the fact that not fullfil his promise with you.
+1 yWell firstly hooters is a restaurant and not a strip club. Second he didn't go alone and even if he did, you need to trust him that he won't do anything. Also girls are hypocrites, they complain and worry about their boyfriends looking at other girls when these girls sometimes would notice another attractive male. People always notice and look at people who they find visually attractive. It does not mean that they will give into this and cheat either.

I wouldn't get excessively concerned unless he decides to practically move in there... He's a normal guy who like looking at cute girls and the beer and wings there is awesome !!!
Give the guy a break and stop trying to control every aspect of his life.32 Reply- +1 y

I also agree and your getting this from another females side of view, not as one of our views
No, one has nothing to do with the other. First, it's highly unlikely you tell each other EVERYTHING. If you do, you're doomed. It's a strong indicator of a dysfunction called codependency. Stop it. Everyone needs their own time time to do their own things and the freedom from their partner to do it without fear of harsh judgment, jealousy, petty behavior and breaking up. He isn't "hiding" the fact that they went out together. They just went out together, no big deal. If you weren't invited, frankly, it's none of your business. Chances are fair that he talked about you. If it was something he needed to say TO you, you'd probably already know. Mind your business, and let him mind his. You don't own him.

u +1 y1. There is a difference between not telling you something and telling you a lie.
2. Does he have an obligation to tell you everything that you might want to know.
3. At one time, I frequented Hooters because it was close to where I work and I love their wings. One of our secretaries tried to tell me that all of the waitresses at Hooters were prostitutes! I told her that was absolute nonsense but, even if it was true, I reminded her that Jesus had lunch with prostitutes and tax collectors. Good enough for Jesus, good enough for me.
3. Are you trying to be a controlling girlfriend? That will drive him away.
4. If you don't trust him at this point, you should throw in the towel.32 Reply- +1 y
You should listen to this.
- +1 y
5. Communicate with him about it. Tell him your fears and listen to what he has to say.
+1 yYou can't assume a mans hiding things by just going to Hooters, nonetheless you can't say that you do not ever look at another attractive male or want to some time just have your space with your girlfriends that you do not to have him tag along with you. So give the guy a break cause I'm sure he gives you them and isn't riding your ass 24/7. Everyone loves to have attention and feel loved. But up a person's ass every minute of the day becomes annoying which I'm sure most will agree, thus leading to one wanting further away from the person till they are gone. Just relax your overlooking the situation and letting some sort of sub-insecurity manner possibly destroy your relationship

+1 yI don't think ur overreacting , he promised u that he wouldn't go there without telling u or going without u , and he did the exact opposite , but maybe he forgot the promise? but that's most probably not the case , u should talk to him about it but without blaming or accusing him with anything , and then you'll see why he did that , as for your question , if he INTENTIONALLY hid this from u then yeah he must be hiding other things from u , you'll know if u talk to him more about it bc we can't assume what his intentions are :)

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yhe sounds like a man-child. and yeah maybe it's "just hooters" on the surface but think of the deeper meaning of it. he knew you didn't like the place but went anyway totally disregarding your feelings. he hid something from you. he is acting distant. he is keeping things from you that you're having to find out through his friend. so to answer your question, yeah, he could be hiding other things from you as well, in fact I wouldn't be surprised at all. and even if it's little things for now, it could turn into bigger things (if it hasn't already).

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yFrom a guys perspective, let me just say, you continue being this way with him, and he will continue to hide more and more things. Why? Because you are making him know that it is not okay to do those things, things he knows there is no wrong doing in.
He went to hooters with a guy and a girlfriend of the guy. What did he do? Look at girls, the same the other guy did.
If you want him to stop hiding things, stop confronting him about everything he does! Instead why not go with him to hooters? Insecurities? He is with you for a reason right? Dont mess with the feelings of a guy who genuinely cares about you, once he stops caring, there's no getting that care back.00 Reply
+1 yI mentioned to my wife I had gone to Hooters for dinner one night, several months after the fact. The convo went like this:
Me: “I had dinner at Hooters a while back”
Her: “Cool, did you get a boner?”
Me: “No. it’s kinda sad, actually”
Her: “We should go sometime”
Me: “Nah, the food sucks”
Her: “Yeah, fuck that”
Then she changed the subject and it hasn’t come up since.10 ReplyProbably, but it certainly means he has a roving eye for other attractive girls, which he can only ogle without you there. You should tell him to be honest, if he is not, dump him until he grows up!
Don't put up with this type of behaviour, you are both on the same page or you are not, and you should be in charge!20 Reply
+1 yHe didn’t tell you because he knew you’d over react.
I don’t know why so many girls have an issue with hooters. Many other bars and restaurants have girls that dress similar.
It doesn’t mean he is cheating but it is a bit controlling of you to try to stop him going.
Why didn’t you just go with him and have fun with him his buddy and the other girl?00 Reply
+1 ySo why do you want to know what the place is like? It’s actually rather mundane. If you’re worried about the waitresses, don’t. It’s possible you’re boyfriend didn’t mention anything because he knows how you feel about it. He went with a friend and his girlfriend. It may have just been a spur on the moment thing, and he didn’t want to say he can’t go because his girlfriend would be mad.
00 ReplyHooters is a sad place. It's not a strip bar. He probably didn't tell you because he knew you didn't like it very much. Nothing can go wrong in a Hooters. If I were you, I'd be like: dude it's fine. Not mad that you went there, just a little bummed you don't feel comfortable enough to tell me. Don't go there with him just to give in. You don't like it, so don't go. He likes it, fine. This shouldn't be a problem. Just talk more with each other. It's perfectly fine to be different.

+1 yOmfg. NO. he's not hiding shit from you, clearly the man needs his space! And the fact that he was with someone and their girlfriend makes this a 0% chance he was gonna "hide other stuff from you" like cheating. Relax girl you're stressin the fuck out. Also its normal for people to have their own life and secrets even in a relationship. Dont try to put a leash on the dude, you'll drive him farther away from you.
00 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. He knows you have fanatic tendencies and he just want to enjoy a meal without being tortured. But I am sure that you are passing out extra rations of Sh! t on him. Men have a breaking point with women that want to control them, once you pass that point, he will go away.
00 ReplyHe is pushing you away because he isn't happy in the relationship. Guys tend to lose sexual interest very fast if a relationship starts to fail. If he is suddenly redirecting that interest, its time to sit down and have an honest convo about each other.

+1 yIf you asked him where he went and he lied, then that is reason to be upset. Other than that, you do sound a bit controlling. You are blowing Hooters out of proportion too by the way. Its not a strip club and he didn't get a lap dance there either.

+1 yYeah it does mean he is hiding something
Shooters has waitresses wear tight mini shorts and a top that shows there boobs breast
He is definitely hiding something
He can also be hiding other stuff to00 Reply33.3K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It means he didn't want to hear you bitch at him about going to a certain restaurant. Hooters is nothing to be concerned about, trust me. It's not a strip club.

I know but we had a huge fight about a situation regarding hooters in the past and he promised he wouldn't go without taking me along or at least telling/asking me about it

And also i know its "just hooters" but why did he feel the need to lie?

I know things won't be the same but he's just making things worse while i thought we both were trying to fix things

No he was suppose to say "let me just tell my girlfriend and not hide it from her"
1.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. He's not hiding anything, he just didn't want to tell you he went to a boobies restaurant. While I wouldn't agree with going there if you're taken, it's not a big deal I guess, as long as he kept his hands, mouth and dick clean.
