Well technically yes, by default you're competing with other other guys when it comes to the dating world but I mean do guys actually like try to outshine each other on purpose? For example, 2 guys end up liking one girl who's completely oblivious about their affection for her. Both guys eventually find out that they like the same girl, which cause a battle to erupt between the two in order to gain her love. It's just something I never really seen happen before ya know? I think guys for the most part see that type of situation as pointless and would just brush it off and go look for more fish in the sea. So guys have you ever seen two guys fight/compete over a girl or are guys just more laid back/don't really care as much? I think girls tend to compete on purpose a lot more often.

Gotta to love the passive aggressive shy guy, that gets all mad when you get more attention than he does from the girl he likes. The guy will act like you are stealing their girlfriend when they don't even talk to the girl. Or the only thing he says is "Hi".
The worst ones are the friendzone guys. The guys that you think are you friend but they actually like you and become "protective" of you. Nahh he likes you a lot and he gets mad when you give any guy more attention then him.
I bet you 100 bucks you have seen it, but just never notice it. The ones I am talking about are all nice and subtle. You know those people that bully you without really being a bully.
1. I always aim to women I will not have to compete for. 2. If I got myself into any kind of "competition", I quit the moment I realize that.. Cause:
A. If she thinks that anyone might be a competition for me, she already better stay with him. B. No woman is worth the amount of energies, since its much easier finding others. You fight for a relationship, health, family.. Or good friends. You dont fight and compete for women. Thats merely a derivative of a "bruised ego". Nothing more than that.
Male to male / Female to female competition both exist. But males tend to do it indirectly so the female doesn’t notice (most likely both of them are close to her) since she’d resent the guy who’s actively picking an argument or fight.
Females tend to do it more openly in my experience.

then that means you're forking over you're own happiness and chance of love if you always let someone else step in to win someone over you want. The person isn't saying in order to have me you have to compete, its you like/love someone but you also have an obstacle in your way and that happens to be another person. so are you going to let that other person win or are you going to try to make yourself be seen/noticed when it comes to the dating is what i was trying to say.
Well that person has to see me for me and he has to realize I am the one he wants over someone else. Isn't that how romantic love works? It is between two people. Not three or four. Regardless of who's in the way. If he loves me, we will find our way to each other but fighting over one person's attention/affection is a waste of time. I only fight for love as long as I see we both trying. If not, no.

I Don't know the situation in your country. But here in Middle East! Men fight over women a lot!! More than women fight over men.. men Jealousy here is so big. Your husband can kill or harm another man because he just looked at you! Looking at each other harem can cost men their faces, legs and armes! Harem mean his wife, daughter sister and mother! There is even a Jealousy between father and husband! When first Arab man propose to a woman the father will try to ask his daughter if she likes him, if he notices that she is hesitated he garp the chance to reject him but If she really love him he accept after causing him a lot of troubles! Our DADs always cry in our wedding and this is so often in our country (mom cry on her son wedding). If 2 men proposes to the same girl, her father uses each man to threat the other! For example the common speech that fathers tell their daughter man is "7 men propose to my daughter and she chose you" it is a threat that if he divorce her there is always who can replace him! And he is so luky to have her! So men fights over a girl and compete a lot ! THEY ARE SO JEALOUSE AS F**K" so normal here to find kills crimes because of a woman !
Only the dickheads that don't realise they are in a huge ocean with plenty of fish. Only time a chick is worth fighting for is if you love her. And if you love her, but find yourself in a predicament where you are fighting for her, then sure as shit don't love you. So no.

Guys compete but girls compete like crazy too, just in different ways. Girls can get extremely passive aggressive in their techniques. But everybody competes. We're all just poorly evolved primates, half a chromosome away from a chimpanzee. Don't forget we're all animals.

I've been in this sorta.
My rival was my own friend. In the end, I don't consider him a friend any more. Nor did any of us get what we wanted. To synopsize, he he only caused hard-ache for everyone.
Honestly it depends on the woman's choice.
But this "fight" was love vs. lust. I was in love with the girl for who she was and enjoyed time with her, my "friend" only wanted to have some sex, which in the end he didn't get anyways. I didn't have my chance since she left to another country.
Yes guys do compete with each other over a girl and I still believe 90% of the time girls wants the bad boy type of guys instead of a guy that is nice and treat them with respect and honors them girls say they want a nice guy but when a nice guy comes into their path they reject them At least for me it happens to me all the time with every girl I meet and show interest in and tell them that I like them then that’s where they start voiding me and reject me
I don’t. It’s immature and stupid, especially if you cause the fight, if her ex is disrespecting her then yes Id step in if she needs it but I’m not going to cause a fight over nothing, if he throws the first punch, then it changes.
When I was 20, I once had to compete with two other guys to get a woman to become my girlfriend, but this was not a physical competition. I was willing to do this because I hadn't had a girlfriend in awhile and I really liked her.
Even two guys that have been friends for a long time, would usually fight (or try to outshine each other) over a girl, especially if they're both head over heels for her. Then again, there are different types of guys with different personalities. The same way you'll find guys that'll fight over a girl, you'll find guys that agree on some way to resolve their problem without shaming the other, and other guys that don't really care.
I wouldn't "compete" with someone over a woman because I don't think attraction works that way. Someone either likes you or they don't, there is nothing to "compete" over.
Depends on the girls actions YES: If her love is totally devoted to you and you love only her then she is worth fighting to keep. NO: If she has feelings for both guys then she is not worth a fight.
