Why do guys like short girls?

I'm 5'11 and I've dealt with a lot of guys who turned me down for being too tall , and everyone assumes because of my height I'm too masculine , independent , dominant , manly , undesirable , I want to know why guys prefer short girls? I don't mind dating a guy shorter than me but usually those guys who are shorter and want to date me are submissive and assume I can do everything and all and I just want to be and feel cute like any other girl , unfortunately I'm too tall and when I am being 'cute ' or feminine , it comes off as dumb... sometimes I even wished I could get into a car accident and chop off my legs or something so I can be shorter but ik that sounds insane and insensitive to those who actually don't have legs... but I've been turned down a lot just for my height or looks and it's something I cannot change... and way too many people comment on it... so tell me , why do guys prefer short girls? Why is a tall girl always assumed to be so masculine?

Because most are more submissive and some even look at taller guys with that gaze in their eyes which happened to me a few weeks back, I get on a train and this 5'4 woman is being hugged by her what I assumed was her boyfriend. So here I am standing nearby, I'm 6'5 and she just stares at me so I return the eye contact and we didn't break it up for 10 seconds. Then they both got off. But in your case either go for same height or taller, I wouldn't have any problem with you since anyone below 5'8 is short for me while anyone above 6'0 is tall and you on the other hand fall under the the normal height for me and I highly prefer someone of your height since again you're in the normal category for me and I only go for women who want to be and feel like one but I have some attraction for the short women since they have that submission feature and I'm very dom but if I had to choose between a short girl and you, I'd ideally pick you since end result would be the same, I'd fuck you just as hard. So stop thinking about losing your legs and becoming shorter, since a lot people would see us as the ideal couple while with short girls, most would joke about exactly why they are dating.

If your too ugly that's understandable. Some girls are just too ugly and humans are sexual beings so get over that. However, if your too tall, don't worry. As long as your not ugly, don't intentionally act in a certain manner like being cute otherwise your just gonna fool yourself and lose yourself in the process trying to be cute. Make sure your attitude is natural as that's the best way to bringing out your genuine mannerisms. You'll want to be real when you meet other guys so don't kick yourself while your down. Unless you are ugly then you might have to do some emotional trickery. Personally, I don't care about height as long as I feel attracted to her either physically or emotionally unless their height makes them look ugly but 5'11, you'll be fine.

I don't try to be cute on purpose , Im just saying when i do cute things and am myself people are like 'you're so tall that comes off as dumb' as if I should be serious all the time.
And I'm not completely ugly but I'm definitely slightly below average face wise, so that could also be a problem lol but I've accepted that.
And also part of being attracted to someone physically is their height as well , even if you don't think that consciously , subconsciously you probably do evaluate things like that in a potential mate.

Keep doing it if it's a natural thing. It's easy as that. They'll accept you as who you are or die before that. If they don't like you they'll move away or grudgingly live with it. The circle u surround urself should accept you for who you are. If you change they'll have to accept that change or not and that's part of the risk of being in a relationship.

Subconscious thoughts do affect your judgement of attractiveness. If it bothers you then deal with it by chopping off the legs or face. It shouldn't bother you if you deem what you think as unattractive as part of genuine image.

You see, you gotta accept you for who you are along with the decisions you make. Ideally we should all accept everyone we come across with but it's not that simple cuz people got prejudices from other circumstances.

Attraction has a subconscious element in it without a doubt. It makes each person different along with making them like different things based off their past experiences in life. According to the other answers to your question, some like short girls, and some do like tall girls. If the guy you like don't like you physically, try establishing a emotional connection or just being friends.

i thought models had to be your height. I would love to be your height. Being short is uncool. you have no idea how quickly you can gain weight. I wouldn't say most men assume tall girl are masculine, however being taller than a woman might make them feel more masculine themselves.

I have two tall friends and they are the most feminine and cute women among my friends. Their boyfriend are the same heigh and pretty masculine so I definitely don't see tall women as masculine at all.

Your friends are lucky they have good people in their lives , everyone around me feels the need to remind me about how unfortunate my looks are.
Plus most guys I've met in my life like short girls or at least girls noticeably shorter than them.
It shouldn't matter though , I've chosen not to date or procreate though , since I feel like I should be bred out and not spread my genetics.

I don't mind I mean , I have a lot of genetic diseases anyway and I'm not good looking and I'm super tall so if my genes die out it'll be for the benefit of humanity. It's not just the height but definitely one of the reasons why.
Plus the guys I'm into all like a certain type and even if I try so hard to fit that type it doesn't work. So I'll just stick to being single forever. thanks for your opinion by the way.

It's been years now, but when I was younger I dated girls that were as tall as me (6`3") 188 cm, and some taller than that...
Some guys feel powerful and macho when going out with a short girl, and some guys simply don't give a darn about how tall you are.
There will always be people who think the outside is most important, but when you find the right guy, it does not matter at all.
When I settled for life with my wife, some dudes asked why I would marry a short, chestnut hair, brown-eyed girl from the USA instead of a tall blonde. They still have a lot to learn about love... ;-)
Also, tall girls are not more masculine. They are just tall.

Guys generally prefer being taller to avoid an inferiority thing. Being tall in general viewed as more powerful and more masculine, regardless of gender.

I am 6'3" and my ideal match is a woman is at the height where I can put my chin on her head (right geometry for cuddles and hugs) and she has to stand on her toes to kiss me (super sexy) while I am standing. That would put her at around 5'4" to 5'7". If i was 5'8" like the average male, the preferred height would be 4'9" to 5'2".

Eye level is fine, short girls can be cuter but its not the same with every girl. And I have dated a girl who was 6ft and she was very cute and attractive. So dont worry, height may determine for some guys but if they're that shallow, they would have made shit boyfriends. I highly doubt you're unattractive and in my opinion, you should blame them, making fun or turning someone down just because of height which they have no control over is a shitty thing, but at the end of the day, you will be stronger for it. It may be valid, but the same can be said for short girls having shit genes that can make them unathletic with short reach, doesn't mean they deserve to be given grief over it, and neither should you for being taller than them and you deserve better.
