If a guy is cocky or confident, can he get shy around a girl he likes?

My crush is the typical I know I am good looking so I'll act cocky. But he gets shy with me. He can talk to anyone but with me he can't seem to remember how to speak. He tries to play it off like he's cool and chill. Can a cocky and confident person be shy around their crush. He acts different around me and his friends have noticed that there is something going on between us. Why would he talk to other girls and not me?

By all means. I find it funny from my personal situation because there was a girl I hadn't realized I liked, so I talked to her normally and dug in deep with her, but once I came to realize I had feelings for her, my talking abilities conpletely deteriorated and could barely make conversation. I was a completely different person.

That's funny you mentioned that, because I have a guy friend who use to be close with me but I think he realized he has feelings for me, because he doesn't say hi to me anymore or talk to me or hug me like he used to. Like it's so weird one day we were good friends and now is like we are strangers. And he stares at me from across the room. And he got jealous I was with another boy who is my crush.

If you have feelings for someone who's shy, don't be afraid to get the ball rolling. It can be tough for some guys, and if they pick up that you're giving them a lending hand, they'll realize it's "safe" to chat and won't be as worried. Some may need more help than others, but once you lock a first date, all should be good.

Yes definitely. It occurs when we think the girl will be turned off by the smallest of things so we get worried and shy up. For some reason we lose things to say or don't know if we should say what's on our mind. It's silly but it happens to the best of us 😅
