Yes, personally I'd be fine with that. Kids have never been a goal of mine and regardless I am not against adopting. I find the trans terms a little confusing, but I'd be willing to date and potentially marry a woman who was born as a man, I wouldn't really be okay with it before the operation, but afterwards I don't see the problem. If someone has gone to such lengths to be what they feel comfortable as then I will see them as that. That said I find pre-op people questionable sometimes. I had one friend who thought he was trans for a while and another friend currently going through hormone therapy but quite irregularly. I guess I'm just skeptical but supportive about it until they finalize it and go all the way, then I'm just supportive.
You can think what you want, I really couldn't care any less if you want to assume that about me. Shaming tactics dont work on me, engage me in a real conversation if you want a worthwhile response.

I'm sorry, but if I ever decide to get a relationship, it will be because I can imagine starting a family with that person (as of now, I don't want kids OR a relationship), and currently, a transwoman is not able to have children. "But you can always adop..." No. I can't. An adopted son is a fake son. An adopted daughter is someone else's daughter, not mine. I know it's rude to say that, but it's how I would feel, and I wouldn't want "my" kids to grow up with a dad who didn't really want them.
If she is post op I'd be willing to give it a shot. I don't have any experience with it though so I don't actually know what the vagina would feel like, hence the I'd be willing to try it part.
Yeah that's right too but I think the fierce infiltration into the wider society is not of a real concern. These procedures might cost milions on elite level. Not everyone who feels he/she borned in wrong body is able to afford it. Beside that transgenders are even rarer then gays or lesbos.
@lovetobreed Well, in my high school there is a guy who "is" now a girl. He looks like one at least, and i dont think he ever had any plastic surgery yet. I dont know how this gender transition works, but if i didn't know that he was a guy before, i wouldn't guessed it now.
Yeah everyone can make some homemade transformation but in that case the gear will be still hanging down there. We already advanced in this topic & speaking about top level transgender transformation where supposedly u cannot differentiate original from fake.

You seem to be ignorant. The asker said post operation, which means they've gone through hormone reassignment, likely got breast implants, and replaced the penis with a vagina. Most of the time you won't be able to tell a transgender woman apart from a normal woman even when they're both naked and side by side. Look at that picture of above of the transgender woman in the bikini, look closely at it and tell me where the penis is? Cause I can't find it.
It's not about spoting it. It's his moral & ethical obligation to inform his potential partner about it. No matter how well surgeon faked it he us still not capable of delivering offspring.

You're right about that part, currently the procedure doesn't allow for pregnancy. Why is it her obligation to inform anyone? Are infertile women morally or ethically obligated to tell you they can't bear children? Why would it matter to a lesbian if a transgender woman can't bear children?
You right about the basis of my initial argument. Let me recalibrate my statement. I am very open minded & support innovative solutions as this one is. Let's say he is perfectly faked from inside out. His personality & body is feminine just as the original, then I would probably give it a shot, why not the transformation reached perfect result.
There are plenty of woman who cannot bear fruit (may god give them cure). I think they have to inform their partner about this. No discussion, no exception. What if I want to have kids? So by that being said then transgender should also openly tell what's going on. The attitude of secrecy is a sign that something in his personality is not in level & that's bad & not fair.
Here's a big fat contradiction for you... why should transgender people have to tell their partner when the tranformation isn't perfect? The person should be able to tell beforehand, if they can't it would be their fault for not being aware enough? For example, if you saw a gay man on the street and thought he was a woman and flirted with him and then kissed him, would you blame him for not saying he was a man? You should have been more aware if it is so obvious. What I'm trying to say here is that if you can't tell the difference between a transgender woman and a real woman based on sight alone then what about it is imperfect im the recreation of a woman other than the ability to produce offspring?

After how long of dating? I don't think all secrecy is bad, in this case it's often used for protection as transgender people are often targetted for attacks, violence against transgenders is higher than average and most transgender people just want to be seen as what they see themselves. Therefore as a middleground couldn't they just admit they can't bear children to their partner? It's effectively the same thing since your argument is based on the ability to have children, why is the need to specify transgender included?
I don't know why u think transgender should keep secret that he changed gender, honestly. Even if I consider your argument that they might be targeted by less sensible people & haters. I am not saying the information should be delivered publicly but to that person he think will be his longterm relationship. I assume it should be nice guy who love him & even trough first shock should be able to accept him. Doesn't they say love have no limits & borders? What if the transgender subject will have some serious health complications connected with previous procedure. Another lie? Back to kids then. Why we cannot have kids we tried so many times? You're saying they should be required to tell people such a personal secret and risk their safety? Then again we get into the discussion of when they should have to tell. If they have to tell on first date then there is no time for love to build, if they tell later then the chance of violence against them increases, the amount of people I hear say they would beat the shit out of a transgender woman if they kissed and didn't know it was a "man" is astounding. You know that is not specific at all, right? When they enter into the stage of more serious long term relationship... that could be after 3 months or after a year. Further, everyone has different ideas of when that stage would be.

The reason why they hide it is because of fear of violence, some people get offended at the very idea of transgender people existing and attack them, there are tons of stories of it. Feel free to ignore it all as it is anecdotal though.

I have to ask, why are you or anyone else so obsessed about the gender they were born though? Why should they be demanded to reveal personal information to others that affects nothing? Lying to the face of the whole society? You know there is a difference between having a secret and telling a lie, right? You feel like changing your gender is wrong? Or do you mean that it's wrong to not go around telling people intimate details about yourself? You just don't like that someone wants to change genders, be honest. As for the children thing please don't go back to it. It's very hard to hide that you're not fertile, so the person has the choice to leave when they find out. The transgender person can waste your time and I agree they should be open about that fact (I think everyone should be open about desires when it comes to kids and everything when they start dating seriously, probably after the second date) but I don't think they should be morally obligated to tell you that they were born as a man. If it is something from their past that doesn't directly affect you then why do they need to mention it?

The problem for society would be the issue we discussing the whole time. You cannot sneak into heterosexual's life in transgender uniform. You directly taking from that person his right to decide. Transgender is whole new concept. Hybrid gender. Its fake & majority would not accept it. There is no reason. We can chose proper original woman from God's assembly line (billions of them).
I did not say anything against assimilation of transgender into society. If you remember I was even so generous I told u I would even live with one myself if the fake is perfect. I am able to make that sacrifice but only added he told me before we even jump to bed.
