I’m his backup?

This guy I know recently messaged me again to say he wanted to see me again. We talked but he never set up any proper plans. He had a picture of him and a girl as his profile pic.

He messaged me again later to ask how I’m doing and saying how he wants to make it up to me and he’ll do anything I say earlier on this week. We didn’t talk in between.

Now he’s changed his profile picture to a picture of that girl. Who even does that on messaging apps? Lol

I’m guessing I’m just a back up in case things don’t work out with that girl?

I blocked him and he has also blocked me now.

You basically answers your own question here. If he’s not making any serious plans to get to know you deeply instead of always “wanting to see you” but never made any plans set in stone that means he’s just using you as a backup. He probably had a plan in stored but maybe the girl he’s serious with cams up with the plan so he dished out on yours.

Don’t settle for less and if that’s his motive as you already know that allow him to use another female for bait not you. Know your worth.

That’s so true. I have a feeling that’s what happened. He was talking to me and then suddenly he stopped and then came back again. Maybe things started working out between him and the other girl.

I blocked him. I actually did really like him but I can’t keep having him come back into my life and put things down whenever he wants.

you don't just put a girl you're trying to get as your profile pic. she most likely is his girlfriend. next time he messages, just call him out and ask who the hell is on his picture

No so I didn’t say anything about he picture it was about meeting up with him. I hinted at him asking me out but he didn’t set up any proper plans again and then did that.
