I have a great body thanks to genetics, diet and sports but I don’t post any pics of my body on instagram. I don’t have instagram because I can’t understand why do girls post slutty pics and boys like their pics?
I go to the beach, wear cool swimsuits, have a great body but I don’t post this. I can’t understand why do boys like this sort of things?
I understand that models post pics of their bodies because it’s their job but I’m talking about people like you and me.

Why do I like pictures of beautiful mountain scenery?

Why do I like pictures of the milky way galaxy, or exotic flowers, or ocean shorelines, or a red-gold sunset?

Because they're beautiful and people like looking at beautiful things.

It's as simple as that folks. I don't judge people for putting themselves out there and being brave enough to overcome their insecurities and post pictures of their beautiful bodies. I like pictures like that quite simply because they are beautiful, and I find them perhaps more beautiful still because I'm sexually attracted to women. Like how I find the galaxy more beautiful because I'm really into astronomy and astrophysics, or how I really like pictures of mountain lakes because I love backpacking and I want to go visit places like that someday.

Pictures of attractive women are relevant to my interests and beautiful. Since my girlfriend feels the same way, we check out pictures like that together sometimes. She also looks at hot guys. I recognize that they're hot, but I'm less interested in them for that reason.

I respect your decision to preserve your privacy and not to post those pictures online, I don't think you should do something like that unless you want to.

But I don't believe in shaming people who DO post such pictures. Perhaps they are seeking approval or maybe they're just celebrating their sexuality or embracing their flaws and facing the harsh light of the internet, but whatever the reason, it's the woman's decision to make and I support it either way.

And if she chooses to post the picture, I might just give it a like.

@Highsxhoolstudent15 Slut shaming is wrong because there's nothing wrong with being sexually active as long as everyone involved is consenting and being safe. Quite simply, it's wrong to shame people for personal choices that don't hurt anybody, just because you disagree with them.

In general, shaming is only justifiable and effective when it is used against those whose actions are seriously evil; intentionally causing harm to others, like rapists, cheaters, etc.

You're welcome to disagree (as you obviously do), but I think that when you judge someone for being sexually promiscuous you are actually the one doing harm, not them.

@Highsxhoolstudent15 Well no, not really. While it's a good idea to expose yourself to new ideas, I'd say it's fine to choose friends who share your values.

The problem comes when you insult strangers and make others feel bad for doing nothing wrong, or when you degrade friends or family members who's behavior you disagree with but who, again, aren't hurting anyone.

Take for example, if you found out that a longtime friend of yours was with sexually active with half a dozen guys so far this year, if you started telling other people that she's a slut that's wrong of you to do.

Everybody is different; some people may be engaging in actually unhealthy sexual behavior or have unhealthy attitudes about themselves, and maybe they want your input or advice. But others are just sexual people who aren't happy with any one person yet, or maybe ever.

My point is just that there's nothing wrong with that, not that you should be forced to surround yourself with it.

No I'm just trying to dig down to what the actual question is here. If the question is "Why is X valued over Y?" One possible answer is that X is more visible. Another possible answer is that X isn't valued more over Y (That the apparent valuing is just that. A surface level analysis). It could very well be that These women flaunting their bodies is tantamount to saying "free cake" everyone is going to want a slice. Whether or not they would actively pursue a slice of cake on their own, were it not free or convenient.

In all honesty I use to be like this, I think its because I was looking for someone to be with.
& after I found someone I stopped using instagram or facebook and focused on the relationship more.
I've heard it can be a very slippery slope and destructive in someones perspective seeking out likes from people.

Because that’s what we like looking at. Sex sells like someone said. You can’t blame us completely, if girls would stop putting things like that on social media we’d have nothing to look at. I’ve noticed though a lot of those girls look like they’re seeking attention, w thousands of followers. I guarantee more than half of those followers are men.

It doesn't necessarily mean its a good idea for you to do that, if you don't want that kind of attention from men then its best not to go looking for it after all. I would post pics of whatever you are most interested and passionate in and if they are showing interest in that at least you know you will have something to talk about.

It kind of depends, liking looking at it isn't the same thing as respecting the women doing it. Some guys will start seeing the women as a piece of meat rather than as a person once they start seeing those pics. Thats not all guys though.

Yes you can totally get noticed without posting skimpy photos, you'll will be noticed by less men overall but I'd say you'll probably attract more of the type of men you are looking for.

I think it depends on the guy. For me I notice both photos though of course the one with more skin showing is more exciting. Generally I pick women based on if I think we have a lot in common though and the pics just help get me excited enough to check them out in the first place.
