Would a guy who only wants to hook up with you do this?

I want to preface this by saying that I am a girl. When I made this profile, I was in a hurry and I accidentally clicked "male" and I don't know how to change it. I will probably make a new account, but I do need to ask a question right now, so I just have to stick with this account for now. So here is the story:

I want to I'm kind of new to the hookup scene, as I am a freshman in college, but I just had my first hookup two weeks ago. I met a guy in class, and we hung out as friends a few times before we hooked up. The first time we hooked up, there wasn't any sex. He cooked me breakfast the morning after hooking up. We hung out once without hooking up after that and he cooked me dinner, but then we hung out another time after that and we hooked up. The second time, there still wasn't any sex but things did get a little heavier. One thing I noticed that he does when he hook up is he holds my hand an awful lot, even before we start making out. He holds me a lot and cuddles with me like an hour before we start kissing. He also rubs my arm a lot. Any opinions as to whether this sounds slightly romantic or is it still just a hook up?
Does the fact that he's continued to hang out with/hook up with me even though there hasn't been any sex mean anything?

I don't get the feeling that he is interested in much more than sex. If a guy gets the feeling sex is coming fairly soon, he can do a lot and put up with a lot, to get in your pants. The touching an hour before, doesn't necessarily indicate feelings for you, but may only be his clinging to how your body feels, and how it excites him, and that he will get more later - that is - feeling you all over, etc. And the prospect of getting in your pants will make a guy do things and act in ways that seem very romantic, but are really just ways of seducing you and getting in you.

from what i ready i can't say his intentions are only sex cause it does seem like he likes you but I don't know for sure. Yes, some guys will stick around longer if they think sex is around the corner. I think the best thing you should do is talk to him and as him if he sees this relationship going any further with you, if hesitates or can't give you a direct answer then you will know for sure. If he says he does see you guys getting serious, then tell him you want to continue to take things slow.
