Why do old men hit on me so much?

It's a running joke among my friends and family that all the old men have a thing for me. Ever since I was a teenager, much older men (60's and up) would take a liking to me. They would either awkwardly hit on me or give me all kinds of compliments. Most of them would say something along the lines of, "oh if I were your age..."

I'm now in my early twenties and this has also come to include some of these men (generally on the younger end of the scale and even including some in their 50's) giving me their numbers or asking me out. I don't receive nearly as much attention from guys my age nor do other girls my age receive as much attention from these older men (that I'm aware of). Why do I attract older men?

It has always happened to me too. I always looked older than my age until I was about about 18. I was told because I look mature and sophisticated. Do they tell you to smile too? That’s the worst.
