He 'accidentally' called me late at night?

Soo i've been talking to this guy for just under a month. We're both pretty shy so we've never spoken about a relationship but he's really sweet and I really do like him quite a bit. Sometimes we take a while to answer each other's messages. he sent me a message around 2 hours after I sent him one, and I was meaning to reply back when I wasn't busy. When I went to reply back after an hour, I saw I'd just missed a call from him, but we don't call unless it's planned. He then apologised for calling me. The thing is you have to be on the chat in order to call the person... So was he looking through our messages? Was he hoping i'd pick up randomly? or was it really just an accident and am I overthinking this whole situation? hmm help!

(This wasn't on Iphones. it was on a messaging application!) You have to be IN the chat in order to call somebody

If it happens again use it as an opportunity to call him yourself.
You would be just returning the call.

Ask yourself if it matters that much, it’s just a missed phone call... the fact the he apologized is weird if it wasn’t an accident...

Were you on Snapchat? If so, maybe his finger accidentally pressed the call button. I always accidentally push that dumb button 🤦🏽‍♀️
