Good looking guys who are always single (not by choice)...

Question

Good looking guys who hardly have girlfriends and are always single.

What's the benefits of this? I'm not talking about the immature benefits like sleeping with any girl, or getting multiple girls. What do you girls think of guys like this?

So far, I've been this great outgoing guy with a great personality, great looks, talents etc. but I've been single for longer than I'd like to be. I just want to enjoy life as it is right now but I have these strong feelings of wanting a girlfriend. It's hard being a hansom guy with great personalities and think that none of these girls are seeing it. I guess that is a little selfish but I'm just putting my honest feelings out here.

Would you say that a guy like me needs to just quit worrying and just live life and enjoy it? Focusing on yourself (career, job, talents, activities, and passions) are things that would help me get back into my self confidence and forget about thinking a girlfriend would make me happier?

If a handsome guy with a great personality is single I think of following things :

1) he doesn't want a serious relationship, he is probably sleeping around.

2) He has a character flaw and that's why he can't keep a girl.

3) He is too busy studying/working. But even then you can get a girl.

It's easy to get a girlfriend if you're truly a handsome guy who has a nice personality. Even guys who are not that attractive can get girls, because of their personalities and the way they present themselves. All you have to do is pick a girl you like and invest all your attention in her.Are girls flirting with you? Maybe you are flirting with every girl out there and us girls pay attention to such things. We act as if we don't see it, but we see everything. So, let's say a girl likes you a lot and you flirt with her, but then you flirt with all the other girls then it will make her think you have a character flaw or that you don't like her. You see, many handsome guys flirt with a lot of girls just to see if they like them back. I knew this one guy he was freaking handsome ... he was intelligent, hot BUT none of the girls gave him any attention why? because he flirted around and people got the impression that he was a player. Either way, if you're handsome you can get a girl ... some girls are not picky they will fall for you hoping to change you lol. Good luck, I'm sure you will find a girl :)

I know a few guys like you, whom are good looking and getting up there (we are in our mid 20s). I know that for a fact, in my elementary class of like 25, only 4 of us are married and only 1 really has kids and turned out ok! hahah I mean I am recently married and I think I turned out OK too, but most of the 25 year old or something it seems are not married or are single and I really don't know why. They seem like nice people too. It may depend on how you are meeting people. I would suggest asking friends of friends, or family members to try to hook you up with a girl who they think might suit you well.

I met my guy through facebook, we use to know each other a long time ago and haven't talked in a long time. When I added him he messaged me, really happy to have added me. I messaged back and we kept on writing to each other. To our surprise he was stationed near me for a few months for work and we decided to meet up and we fell in love and got married a few months later. it can happen, just make friends with everyone you can (at work, at the store etc) and hopefully they will help you to meet the one.

Most people, not just guys, who are very attractive (im talking the top 1% of men and the top 2% of women) are usually very particular about the people they will see. Most of this "pickyness" is subconscious.

The more you are aware of your attractiveness (when very attractive) the more subconscious will search for people at a similar attractiveness level. This way your finding someone with genes as good as yours, if not better (attractive is a strong indicator of good genes; good health, high intelligence, etc). The reason they date so rarely is because their choices are limited.

The better looking you are (after a certain point), the harder it will be to find a compatible mate. But when they do, their kids will be gorgeous lol

Well I can relate a lot to you as well. I'm way more focused on myself though right now (school, volunteering, etc.), but sometimes I do think I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend. I like that sentence about having all these great traits and a good personality, but none of these girls are seeing it because that runs through my mind a lot.

Yes, you should keep on worrying about it. That would be just 1 less guy for me to worry about. I wouldn't mind it all if I didn't have any competition. But alas, I do which means that I must also play this stupid game with all you other people. So until I get to a point where I start actually caring about this whole dating game, then YOU have 1 less guy to worry about. I doubt your looks are keeping you single. There is something else that is causing this. I know what my reasons are, and I doubt (actually, I just plain know) that my looks aren't my "curse".

a) Good looks raises ego level, which results into high standards. Think about it. If you were a good looking guy, would you date an average looking girl? You'd say sure. But attractiveness is eye catching. We ain't no personality scanners. We mostly try to get to know people in whose looks we're interested in.
b) Secondly, he might be a player. Its one of their rules as a player that they do not sleep with everyone, just to give off the impression that 'they ain't that easy to please and sex is not their only motive'
c) no offense, but most of the attractive guys are paired with terrible personalities. I mean sure you'd love to show around a jerk on your arm, but by time you realize that beauty is not everything... and you'd eventually want the relationship to end asap

you need to just relax an do you. eventually you will meet a girl who is the same as you and enjoys the same things you do. Trust me I have learned the hard way you can't force a relationship. Also depending on how good looking you are, some girls may feel to insecure to have you as bf.

First off there are positives and negatives to being single and the same holds true for being in a relationship.  My thing is if you're this great outgoing guy with a great personality who women also happen to find attractive you shouldn't have a problem meeting women.  You seem to have a false sense of confidence you claim you're superman but than you come across as very insecure and I guarantee you women are picking up on this.

Yeah it is. Looks tends to come the most important in terms of Initial attraction. Personality then gradually becomes more important (or equally important to some) in dating because relationship isn't only about looks. A handsome guy would quickly just become 'just another pretty face' if his personality is as boring as watching paint dry or as psycho as Hitler or shy as a deer. In relationship, personality compatibility is important. Take that out and say goodbye to relationship. Same as approaching, take out the confidence and nothing will happen.

I'm probably was in similar and much worse situation then you. I'm 31 this year and has been mostly single for almost 12 years now. In my prime say 22-26 almost every girl I've communicated for abit more then normal seem to fall for me, even the one that's already taken. It wasn't fun at all and i try to avoid talking with girls for the most part because i choose to be devoted to the girl i secretly have a crush on, but was taken even tho she has feeling for me at the time. My advice, let it go, the world is gonna judge you anyway no matter how you act. Be true to yourself, eventually the people that matter will see you for who you are. I'm dating a girl much younger then me now, dating girls even a few years younger never seem to work cause she will feel too insecure. It's not a easy life and not nearly as sweet as a lot of girls think, it's no wonder a lot of handsome guys are self-conceded, it does make life a lot easier being a prick.

Anywho I was single for about 4 months in between relationships, and only up side was I didn't have to check in with my girl. I slept with 4 girls while single including a 3some with 2 girls, but it didn't fill the void of having a girl who cares for you. All in all I would rather be in a relationship and be faithful that having multiple partners with no strings attached. I am back in a relationship and couldn't be happier :)

Looks are a great way to get in the door, and a good excuse for a girl to be seen in public with you, but it does not mean you can turn her on or create any "I wanna f*** you" emotion in her, in fact if you have no game you can easily turn her off

I have the same problem. I have green eyes and a great sense of humour. I am intelligent, educated, and respectful. The problem is that every woman I am attracted to has a boyfriend, fiance, or husband and I won't seriously hit on someone that's taken. I would rather be alone than with the wrong person. Most women would rather be with the wrong person than be alone.
