What do guys think of random phone calls from?

So I called this guy randomly. We were friends at one point but I probz wouldn’t say we “friends” now. I hadn’t talked to him in months maybe even years so I just felt like I needed to check in to see how he was doing. During the phone call, I kept trying to hang up because I just was expecting a “hey how are you? Okay bye,” type of conversation but he kept extending the conversation with asking me questions, small talk + deep talk, etc. Next thing I knew we hung up... 45 minutes later. What do you think he thought of the phone call? What do you think he thought of me after we hung up? Fingers crossed, he didn’t think im interested in him romantically. I wanted him to think of us as two old friends catching up.

Honestly I would love a phone call like that from anybody. I sure he thinks you're areal friend which you are. Please answer my question that I posted

He might have got the wrong idea... But it is nice of you to do that. Most my friends barely text back once a week

Interesting. So if that happened to you then you got the wrong idea would you do anything about it?

I might try and see if you wanted to spend more time together, but then if I was turned down I would start to take the hint
