What does it mean if my guy friend tangles his legs with mine while sleeping next to me?

I was at a party and my friends and I were allowed to sleep over and I shared a big bed with a female friend and a guy friend and I slept in the middle but just before I fell asleep, I felt him tangle his legs with mine, why would he do this?

Could be he just want to feel close or it could be that he was dreaming half the time when I'm sleeping I'll do weird and random things and have no idea
