You can see from the beginning that she seemed kinda scared and uncomfortable the way her head was hanging down and her facial expressions and the fact that she wasn't surprised or even angry at him or at least didn't show it which is a result of fear so this is definitely not the first time he would have hit her and also the fact that he felt like he could slap her on their wedding day shows that he was used to doing it often and he felt it was okay. I could never physically or intentionally hurt a woman especially not over something as silly as this. If I was one of his groomsmen or someone who's just attending the wedding or something then I would have slapped him twice as hard. If she or her friends and family had/have any sense, they should've called the cops on him or at the very least, called off the wedding.

She clearly doesn't want to get married to him. I am guessing that its an arranged marriage. I think that she is doing this passive aggressive behavior to the groom in order to protest against her parents for making her marry him. He knows whats up, he is in the same situation as her so he opts for more over aggression and just slaps her in the face. She wants this marriage to fail and at this rate its going to fail. Just my thoughts.

The fact that she barely reacted is alarming. I think this is something she is used to. Maybe it’s fine for the man to beat or hit his wife in their culture, I don't know. She didn’t do anything bad. She was just being playful. If he hits her for that I can’t imagine what he’d do to her in other situations.

if there is someone from Romania maybe they can tell what language is this, I I would say this is a gipsy wedding in romania or so...
women are a second class citizen in these communities but even so, I can tell this guy is a "priviledged" jerk that is used to people kiss his ass, you can tell also how he gave the cake, he just kinda did it to get it over with, there was no gentle and caring "feeding" there but he should have done that...

First of all, neither one of them look like they’re all that happy. You can sense tension in the video that the bride may have tried to lift by playing keep-away with the piece of cake. It is possible they may have had an argument before this video was shot. Where do you get the courage to slap her? From slapping her in the days, weeks and months leading up to the wedding. I highly doubt that this is the first time this is happened. Notice her reaction or lack there of? All she did was stand back up. She didn’t even say anything. It was way too natural for him to do that, and with so little provocation. He didn’t slap her for playing with him, he slapped her because of something else that happened before this video was shot. I don’t know. I think a lot of media or random clips of things can be taken out of context. This video definitely wants it to appear like this man is quite aggressive and violent and she is visibly scared, and it could well be true.
But maybe there is more to the story. Maybe he just found out she cheated on him. Maybe she’s scared because of that, maybe she was trying to be sweet to him coz she felt guilty (hence her head being down) and he wasn’t very happy to have her sweet stuff right now. Ok, based on their body language, that tells me they're on the bottom of the social ladder, where security is more important than individuality.
If i myself was in that position, in that type of environment with that type of relationship? My next step wouldn't be anything, except maybe give her an extra hard pounding while consummating my marriage.
