Why is there this awkward tension between me and my boss?

It's hard to explain but sometimes I can't read him. I feel like he doesn't like me sometimes and sometimes I feel like he might be attracted to me. He will cpme up to me and talk to me when we are alone and then as someone else shows up he gets all awkward and leaves like he had been doing something wrong when we were just talking. Or he will be super awkward when we are alone too. Sometimes forgets his words or stumbles over them. He is fine with everyone else and I see him laughing ajd easily making conversation with them but I feel this tension in the air when he comes near me, especially when we are alone. He compliments my work so I try to tell myself it's not that he doesn't like me. But I don't know why he acts so "off" around me.

I'm in this same situation with my boss. It seems like he doesn't like me but at the same time it seem like he does. He only talks to me when I'm alone but acts like he hates me when someone shows up.

He is definitely attracted you. Work is getting in the way maybe invite him out to an event of some sort and talk to him outside of the job.
