I fear both due to experiences as a child which was a close call. Sometimes I go for a walk but always have that feeling I went to the park one time for some reason it went dark at 6:00 like it was midnight (something to do with the moon no one expected it) and I was midway between the exit and entrance of a fairly big park it was the scariest thing of my life ! I'm talking like blair witch IRL I could hear rattling and all sorts. But my biggest fear was being drugged, kidnapped and raped. One thing they don't tell you is that boys don't get sex trafficked which is complete bs to say in a world of 7 billion people the 4 billion men only 1% get trafficked? There's more then 20% gays bi and female rapists out there so what are the odds? I personally believe more boys get trafficked then realised no one looks for them because everyone assumes a boy is more likely to run away have depression or suicide but in all the disappearances they're never found so where are they really? Alive or dead buried underground completely ignored.

Fair enough but if it's your nanny you should speak to police or family you may not be the only child she went after. Multiple people who say the same person abused her is clearly suspicious.

Il be honest with you I think for the majority of men what matters to us most (myself included) is out reputation in society, community whatever. With a good reputation you get respect, money, work, women etc...
A false accusation will destroy that reputation and pretty much ruin your life chances are we lose our job, wife or girlfriend, respect money etc...

I read a story the other day about a group of girls who accused a highschool student of sexual assault and after they dragged him out handcuffed in front of the whole school, they found out the girls just made the story up because they didn't like him.
I've seen that happen a lot of different ways. Maybe guys don't worry about being raped because the ratio between the amount of time that guys are vulnerable to being raped is disproportionate to the amount of time they spend being vulnerable to false allegations.
Also I think I speak for a lot of guys when I say I'd rather be raped than falsely accused of raping someone
No one likes a false accusations TBH. But then who likes to be raped anyway? A lot of male victims would rather disagree but then, they are just silenced by society.

Regarding crocs tear even men can lie in court. Also dying from saving others isn't anything bad at all. Titanic belonged in the days when women were not treated the same as men. I don't remember when exactly, but it's within the recent years when a French writer, a woman, died when trying to save two random children from drowning in the pond. The kids survived but she died.
In my own countryside, in the poorest regions where people often don't get enough food, women starve themselves if there's shortage of food. A lot of women there develop illnesses and eventually die from it. And it happens in many parts of the world... They just don't go viral like Titanic.

The statistics don't add up because it only counts cases where false allegations are proven false rather than rape allegations that were not proven. It would be like counting the number of women raped every year based solely on the conviction rate.
False allegations are more dangerous to a man because a viscous crazy woman can make them at any time without a shred of proof and if the man can't prove his innocence he's forever branded a rapist which affects his ability to earn money, it can cost him his marraige, he lose his kids, his family, his money and his entire future so yes men are more worried about false rape allegations and men falsely accused of rape even when they prove their innocence never get justice as the sexist legal system gives women special rights and privledges.

I was falsely accused of rape a few years ago at college, there were protests, somebody trashed my place, fliers were put up on campus with my face on them, a couple of feminazis attacked me, I got suspended and eventually arrested and spent a weekend in county lockup. My accuser was lapping up the attention on social media for at least two days until the police looked into her story when she eventually tried to have charges filed against me and the her statement. It turned out the dates when I supposedly had forced myself upon her didn't match up because I was in another state at the time for two weeks at a family wedding and seeing family, I was able to show actual wedding footage of that night. She withdrew the charges and claimed mental health issues. No one ever appologise to me.

Go to any doctor or pyshcologist than they will write you a script for antidepressants. Mental illness espicially for women is often a get out of jail card.

There are no accurate statistics on false rape accusations because the vast majority of false accusations are never proven to be false. The cases are just dropped due to lack of evidence. Law enforcement does not have the time, resources or motivation required to prove an accusation was false, which is very difficult to do anyway, so most false accusations never make it into the official statistics. So when someone says men are more likely to be raped than be falsely accused of rape I don't see any merit in it at all because it is based on inaccurate statistics.
In that case absolutely no statistics ever reported is accurate. Majority of victims don't even report to begin with and it's even worse for men.
If you read through the article you linked the author actually specifically calls out the issues I mentioned and essentially says it's the best they can do. Quote: "But we can only analyse the data we have. So, for the purposes of this article, we will look at rape allegations that make it to the courts."
The problem with this article and almost every other study on the subject is that they make assumptions about unreported rapes but never about unproven false accusations. As a result the statistics are almost always skewed such that estimated false accusations are severely under-reported relative to the estimated rapes. I was once told by a detective involved in rape investigations that a very high percentage of rape cases where charges were dropped due to lack of evidence are likely false accusations.
Neither if us knows what the actual percentages are. But let's not let our biases lead us to make assumptions not supported by facts.
The author dismisses false accusations that never make it to the courts with this: "Undoubtedly, there will be other cases of false allegations being made where there was not enough evidence to bring a prosecution of wasting police time or perverting the course of justice. But we don’t have data to quantify this."
But the fact is the vast majority of false accusations are never prosecuted because there was a lack of evidence to support the claims so they didn't warrant prosecution. That is where the vast majority of false accusations fall out and never make it into the official statistics, and that is why the claims made in the article is totally unfounded.

You can't find accurate statistics that reflect the actual percentage of rape accusations that are false for the reasons I mentioned... a large percentage of rape cases are dropped without ever being prosecuted because there was not enough evidence to support prosecution. Law enforcement will rarely try to prove accusations are false because 1) it is extremely difficult to actually prove a false accusation if you think about it, and 2) they do not have nearly the money and resources that would be needed to follow up on every accusation and make an official determinations whether or not the accusations were false.
But here's the problem we usually see. Rape activists will point to all those rape cases that were never prosecuted and say "look at how many rapists got off the hook", but they will never say "look how many false accusers got off the hook", because it does not support their narrative.
The fact is there is no way to know what percentage of dropped rape cases were real and how many were false. But we need to stop believing the assumption that all of them are rapists who got off the hook because that is not true in many of those cases. Does that makes sense?
Fair enough. Not all rape cases that were withdrawn in the middle were real, however there are still real ones. Where I live rape victims often have to withdraw cases for the sake of their reputation or death threats from the rapist's side. And they actually do happen. The victim and her family members getting murdered before the day they were supposed to show up on court. So you can't blame the ones who bring up this issue.

Because of that, the justice system is much more likely to believe a guy raped or harassed a girl than the other way around; the justice system is just naturally kinder to women in most cases.
There's also the stories of successful guys (athletes, businessmen, etc.) losing everything because of false rape claims.

More than one articles online backing this claim up, just search a little. It's one thing to disagree with those articles for thinking that they didn't provide sufficient evidence for their claim, and it's about thing to comment that this claim is an asspull which it's not.

Males are culturally expected not to be victims and are looked down on if they’re sexually victimized. That discourages them from coming forward over and above all the things that discourage women from coming forward.
Beyond that there’s very little institutional support for abused men. And there’s some pushback to allocating resources to them. In war zones for instance there is funding towards rape victim support that is flagged that it MUST be spent on women. Victimized men simply aren’t cared about.
Finally in some countries a large portion of male sexual assault is in prisons and people almost act like they deserve it.

For a false accusation you literally can't do nothing other than having to prove your innocence. As someone who has become a victim of a false accusation (not of sexual nature, but it lead to a 6-digit courtcase against me) I can tell you that you simply aren't believed, if you are the second one to tell the story.

Being raped is even worse. It's easy to say that it ain't a big deal but it's literally just because male victims are silenced.
Actually, for men it is not. The way we value these things is fundamentally different than the way women do. For a woman it's an invasion of her body. For a man it's an attack on his body. Women consider themselves as successful based on the number and quality of their relationships. This is why women are so willing to talk about their issues, because it can improve their relationships. But men, on the other hand, value their success based on their accomplishments.
That's why men only seek help with emotional things in order to solve them. And if they are told that they can't solve them with anyone else, that they have to handle it by themselves, then millions of men live lives of quiet desperation.

What affects the suicide rate for men is life which we can't really control could be a failing marriage, tough job, loss of a loved one etc... Could therapy help sure but not everyone has the money for that.
I know toxic masculinity. And it's not the same as masculinity on its own. Toxic masculinity is just what it sounds like, it's toxic acts that are perpetuated as masculine acts. Like when a guy acts like he doesn't love his girlfriend in public because doing so will make others call him a cuck. But the way it actually gets used is very often attacking masculinity directly. there are women who say that all men need to step down from positions of power and if they don't they are being toxically masculine. So the statistics of men being falsely accused of rape are as non existing as the statistics of victims coerced into retracting statements. THAT is what the article should have been about.
They say the best reliable data is that 1 in 161 rape claims are false according to people prosecuted for making false claims, thats not reliable data, thats saying that there are perhaps not enough people being prosecuted for making false claims.
It's hard to make any accurate statistics about this matter to begin with. Majority of original rape cases are never recorded to begin with and it's worse for men. The data is simply based off the information that they could have.

I understand what you are saying but the vast majority of men who are sexually harassed don't commit suicide. Those who do do so because of other mental issues. So, the survivors - which is the vast majority of them - recover and move on in life... Just like the women who've been sexually harassed and move on. Sure, it may suck, but it's not a lethally destructive situation except to the weakest-minded among us. That's evolution in action.
However, your reputation is absolutely critical in the real world. Even more so now than when I was young because the Internet makes it much easier for people to research your background. If a potential employer gets a whiff of "sexual harassment" against you - true or not - they don't hire you. It's just that simple. They don't need nor want the potential drama that you might do it again and then they get sued by a female employee. So, having a good reputation is vital to survival in the working world. I cannot stress this enough and the other men below said the same thing: reputation, reputation, reputation.
And it's not just work either - it's potential GFs or wives. If they get a whiff that you may have been a sexual harasser, then they don't want to deal with you either.

He should not have to prove his innonce, it must be proven he is guilty. Pretty basic process, called Due Process. The person making the claim, the accuser, the victim has the burden of proof. Our Kavanaugh Hearing that spotlighted the concept “believe all women” shows how the whole thing got derailed. Turned justice on its ear. Men always get defended for whatever the heck they do and this is why the justice system is now leaning towards women to make sure it doesn't happen. Karma makes no sense if you don't see it on a personal basis. It's the day old matter of "should a son suffer for his father's actions" taken to another level. In the eyes of the law, there should be no personal bias and no room for intepretation. What you are describing now is a pendulum and it's bound to swing back at some point. Let's try to keep society an equal place for all citizens instead.

A senator here screeched “believe all women” in the halls of Congress during the Kavanaugh hearing. it was followed by saying, “men need to just shut up!” The society you mention is not the society I live in. To imply it silences real victims is preposterous, because you’re generalizing in a dishonest way. What justice system are you talking about? The idea that the world has a single system of justice is just ignorant.

But, after it began to result in massive false allegations by hundreds of women, proven to be false allegations, it became apparent that #metoo was was now a weapon for feminists attempts to seek revenge. Many innocent people’s lives were ruined because of this over extension of what started as a decent approach to right the wrongs of the past. Due process became non existent. Innocent until proven guilty is apparently something you know nothing about, preferring to believe in “karma”.
